"I honestly can't think of likes or dislikes, but I happen to think it would make a great movie book. It was a spectacularly exciting, yet heartfelt story across generations and time (and medium!) that had the power to get me to respond by posting. I NEVER DO!!!."

"I really appreciate you sharing your work with us. It's difficult to write a review that actually does your book justice. I would share this with all my friends and family. Just about anyone who loves to read for entertainment, would be intrigued. Major Preston is just one of the many heroes you meet along the way. I found your characters very relatable. I feel like I would have found friends there. Lorie is amazing throughout the entire story. When Carol jumped in front of the bullet to save Sue, I nearly fell out of my chair! (I was sitting on the edge of my seat. Lol) I felt like cheering at the end. I'm going now to read the sequel as I want to read about fat little babies too! After reading this I'm sure I won't be disappointed🌹"

Battle of Wills
"Historical, time travel, mystery, action, humour, love and a plot that will shake the foundations of humanity. A well written and researched story from the Civil war till modern day. This book covers so many subjects of war, hate, depravity and love of family, it will keep you wondering where it will end. I will read this book again, as it's truly amazing. Well done Marilyn."

Battle of Wills
"I thought this was a fast=paced thriller with elements of several other genres woven seamlessly in. It hooked me early and held my attention throughout. I liked the humor and surprises along the way. I really enjoyed the novel. I am not a big fan of romances or paranormal works, but when those elements come together in an excellent read they truly work."

"I really enjoyed the story. Civil War stories are some of my favorites and the intertwining of the past with current times was wonderful. I look forward to reading the next stories."
Battle of Wills
"Romantic mysteries are generally not my reading choice however after a few minutes I was hooked. Put aside the Vince Flynn thriller I was reading and in two long sessions finished Battle of Wills. The complexity of the genealogy and the many characters were challenging yet as I read onward the author repeated and offered enough additional information that cleared things up.. Hints along the way to what was happening were plentiful but did not prematurely give away the mystery. A good read and I look forward to the sequels."
Battle of Wills
"Excellent read, beautifully written with intriguing characters, compelling story line, historically accurate setting and wonderful pace. The author has a gift of description of the environment through which her characters are passing, giving the reader the sense of sharing their adventures, and the weaving around of the story line through centuries of interaction. Very clever. One learns something about history here and feels an appreciation for the protagonists who have to reconcile the past with the future."
Amazing story!
"This is a tightly written, professional story that captures your attention, and your heart. The hero, Jeff Preston, is a long dead Civil War soldier summoned back to life to help fight a long festering evil that only he has the ability to uncover and defeat. The good vs. evil, family vs. entrapment dynamic is refreshingly elevated to a new height. Be prepared to read it to the end. It is hard to put down."
Battle of Wills
"This is a well-researched and well-written book by an author who has worked for years honing her skills. Her characters are likable and interesting, The story line is exciting and mysterious, with many twists and turns. Altogether this is a book to be read over and over just for the fun of it."
Battle of Wills
"I do hope people will read and review my book. A lot of historical research has gone into it over many years, and aside from the ghostly aspects, the historical dates and events are accurate.. I've finished the second book in the trilogy, and the third is half done. I hope you'll find it fun to read. But there are serious aspects to it as well. It's meant to make people take out their lingering prejudices, think about them, and wonder if they shouldn't think again. But mostly it's a mystery within a mystery within a mystery--just as life is. With love thrown in to soften the rough edges."
Battle of Wills
"It was very interesting and had several twists and turns that made you want to read the next chapter. A well told story by a very good author."
Battle Of Wills
"Not everyone in the South of Civil War era fought for slavery. This heroic ghost story brings it home to us in ways I had never thought about, as the characters in the story discover family secrets and seek to protect a historic town and it's costly heritage of human compassion and beliefs."
Needs refining
"Good overall ideas but there is no flow in the language giving a very staccato impression to the reader. A lot of telling rather than showing. But there is the heart of something good within and the ideas can continue to be drawn out. Overall reads like the skeleton of a good novel - the bones rather than the flesh. "
