"Depressed Souls is more of an ache reservoir for me. It triggered a lot of my past angst and hatred towards the people who wronged me, and myself, who has been struggling to keep the demons at bay. The start was more of a warm cup of hot chocolate, and then it gradually becomes a lot darker and bitter; however, despite those melancholy thoughts, I find this book truly resonated with me and it was some sort of healing too because it tells you that you're not alone out there. Someone may be experiencing it the same way you do. It made it feel...understood. Enough said. The writer was quite eloquent with describing her emotions and putting them into art. I loved it. Simply because. However, the technicals could improve, especially with punctuation and a little edit with some poems on tenses. Keep writing :)"

"Good collection. I'm not that knowledgeable about poetry, so I can't go too deep into the technical stuff, but still, I was able to notice a few things: the use of metaphors was quite effective; there were short as well as longer pieces, giving a nice variety to the entire book; the themes were relatable and dealt with with sensitively. Overall, it was a good read. "

"There are words I cannot describe for how beautifully written these poems are. The rawness they emit and release is truly breathtaking. The feelings I have towards these poems are unexplainable, the empathy and passion I have felt truly gracefully awe-inspiring. The way the author was able to put her own life experiences into artwork is something many are graced with the talent of doing. The way everything is worded in feelings of hurt, loss, loneliness, depression, lust, joy, nothingness, guilt, shame, etc, were so vividly felt within each of the words and lines. To be able to feel something in each of the 70 poems is indescribable. What I have felt in these poems is something I haven't been able to feel or relate to in quite some time. The way it was able to grasp me and chain me until I was able to relate and to contemplate many on what it had meant to the author and to me as the reader as well, is something magnificent. Even though some of the things described in this short story of poems I was not able to relate to in a sense of physically or mentally, I was able to build such a deeper meaning and connection around the story that it was hard not to feel consciously strained for wanting to feel as well. What I took from these poems and this book, was that it wasn't that at all., but a story being built of the constant mental struggle and feeling of aloneness with no one there at all to guide you and to remind you what your purpose is. The feeling of running into an endless maze with walls so high with venom seething from within those walls reminding you that what is beautiful on the outside isn't always as pretty on the inside. And the people who are there to help you are only making the wound deeper., suffocating you, and making it hard to breathe. The vulnerability and innocence only guiding you back again and again to these toxic people. hey trap you underwater but make it seem like you are walking on air. They mask the pain they cause using manipulation, love, etc. From this story, I was able to gather a new perspective on what people constantly struggle and go through in this world. Many are afraid to speak up for the constant abuse they are receiving Many try to mask this abuse telling themselves it is only purely out of love of what they are going through. This book shows the real intensity of the dullness and darkness of friendship, family, and love. The author has such deep thoughts and impressions on pain, torture, and suffering. I would like to thank the author for showing the realness of depression, and the realness of feeling nothing. The way this book is made, it amazing, and I would like to encourage this author to write continuously to encourage others to speak up, and in some way write about what they are feeling. To be able to write something like this and put it in poems to visibly understand is an artwork in the making. Art isn't just paintings, creations, music, etc, but emotions. The intense feelings can be put into words, but masked with a different name. "Poetry". This author deserves so much more like many others. I thank you for allowing me to feel, for allowing me to understand my emotions of what many things I have lost. Thank you, you are a survivor and truly are a masterpiece. (P.S I advise many, even though if you haven't felt the mental struggles, or are now just please read this with caution, but also with a sense of maturity, for it is advised for people with understanding. Also, please do understand that many people struggle, and it shouldn't be taken in a childish manner, but with a more advanced perception). Thank you again!"

"I have Borderline Personality Disorder, Depression, Anxiety, and Panic Disorder, so I found most of these poems relatable. I think the author did a good job capturing the emotions of the moment. While the poems were not very complex, they delivered the feeling, which I appreciated. The only reason I rated plot so low is merely just because I don't find plot to apply to these poems in particular but nothing bad. With that noted, I'm not an expert in poetry, so I could be overanalyzing that. Otherwise, the poems delivered raw emotion, and if you are looking for something like that, you won't be disappointed. I wish the author luck on their writing endeavors. ❤"
