Excerpt from Ch. VI

We arrive a small distance in front the nymphs as they make their way to the fauna where the second group of sprites are. We nod our heads and they nod theirs. We turn to start running alongside them to the fauna quickly shortening the distance. We arrive in time to see the Gaelic group halting their tracks as the rest of the sprites is seen by them. All of them are standing there just gazing at them with unbelieving eyes. We stop and keep our distance out of the light of the luma to watch their movements. If they act aggressively then we will have no choice. Of course, mother is hoping that they act foolishly and I must say that I do to.

They remain still and so do we. The sprites do not move just float around the fauna where they have settled. The Gaelics are speaking amongst their selves now. One of them slowly moves forward with what looks to be a net in his hands that they use to harvest the small sea creatures.

I blink for a mulis and in that time Cisla and mother have appeared in front of the being with the net! Mother using her mind makes the net cover the Gaelic holding it while Cisla sends a powerful arrow with his bow towards one that is behind the one that is now covered with the net and struggling to get out of it!

“No one must escape.” Mother says calmly and I and the other nymphs surround the group that is trying to run away now.

Using my tail I grab one after another and throw them against fauna after fauna and the land crushing their bodies sending their blood spilling into the air all over the space! Some of it gets onto my face. It is the same color as our blood but the smell is not pleasing compared to ours and the nymphs and others. I do not need to throw them against anything with just my tail wrapping around them they die and crumble easily…but it is still very fun to do and creates a bigger mess. Milina, Kralus (craw-lus), and Shuphuna (sue-foon-nah) kill one after the other with their bows and arrows and long nails that these Gaelics and other groups of their species call swords. It is so easy to speak all of their kana that it still shocks me that they have yet to learn those of all of the other groups that are stretching really far across the planet now.

The battle with these Gaelics is exciting! Of course, they have no advantage and are killed so easily. Even with my fragile condition they are still far weaker than I will ever be!

“Egh, their stench is greater when they die. Is that all of them Cisla?” mother says wiping away the blood from her face, nails, and tail.

“Just…one…more...” He replies aiming his arrow at a limp Gaelic that is struggling to run away. His arrow meets his back swiftly scorching his coverings and flesh.
