So Good!
"Lovesick promises a romantic thriller where love is blinding. The first chapter is a doozie that will have you hooked and unable to resist turning the page to find out what the heck is going on. At this point, it is unfinished, but I will definitely be watching for the next chapters in this thrilling tale of love gone wrong. While this tale may remind you of stories you’ve read before, Holliefur has a way with words that lures you in and grabs you hook, line, and sinker. Definitely a must read for those that like romantic thrillers."
Green Exchange Awards Review
"(up to Inkitt Ch. 10 inclusive) This will be a short review because the story, even at this early stage, is very strong and well executed, and I am struggling to identify areas where it could be improved significantly. The use of first person narration enhances the development of Hanna’s character. That said, I thought she could reference her thoughts and feelings more. As it is her narration is a little flat, and some more emotional description would help. Cole’s character is less well-developed, but that is surely deliberate on the part of the author. Already we see hints that he may have a bad temper and a controlling nature. For me the character of Prina came across very strongly, which is odd since she is not a major player in the story so far. I hope she features more in future chapters. The writing is technically excellent. Most of the errors I saw (see detailed review) are minor and some are just typos. Great work here. The writing style is excellent. The descriptive passages are quite elegant and evocative. The author makes skillful use of dialogue, but does not over-use it, which is something I like. Again, great work here. With only 10 chapters behind us, there is (I hope) a long way to go in this story, so it is difficult to say anything definitive about the plot. So far, the pacing is good and the storyline has retained my interest. The first chapter is really effective in drawing the reader into the story: we need to find out more! In terms of writing style, storyline and technical structure, this is one of the best things I have read on Inkitt. There is a long way to go, but so far the work is very promising. I look forward to reading the rest."

"Holieflur is delving into romance which is mysterious, thrilling, and suspenseful. She takes the time to build their relationship, stressing on hints here and there, careful to give but not too much. It is very poetic and elegantly written. This book is vibrant and immerses the reader straight from page 1. As mentioned in the rubric, too much can slow the pace and overall flow and create a monotony feeling. Flow is critical and, if not dynamic enough, can quickly lose the reader's interest. I also suggest enriching the context of their interaction so that the reader can discover more of them in different situations. I am well aware I had access to only the first chapters of the book, which is not enough for me to verify this hypothesis throughout the storyline. However, the first chapters must keep them on edge. Overall, it was a pleasure to read. The choice of words and world-building were flawless. I greatly enjoyed every second of it, and will not hold myself from reading it again. Clap clap."

"Honestly, I'm still on the fence about this story. However, the first chapter was so intriguing the following ones were not disappointing, so props to that! I'm looking forward to more chapters, Hollie! <3 *This review will change once the book is over* Peace and love, Jo ^_^v"

"What a great haunting first chapter! Hollie has done it again, with a mystically beautiful first chapter to what I can see will make a great novel. The description is vivid and each line is as I you’re in there with the main character. All I would suggest is maybe add a few homely touches, maybe add something the reader can relate to in this chapter. You mention the main character wearing many throws- maybe jumpers or cardies instead? Maybe voice her inner emotions a little more. Deep regret and guilt for what she has done- of course you have done this a lot but it could be exaggerated all the more. Great story, I’m extremely excited for more chapters! "

"Like her previous, this yet again is an incredible display of Hollie's command of the thriller, mystery genre. The beginning is strong, presenting the reader with the aftermath of a horrific honeymoon between Hanna and, presumably, Cole, then continuing on to show what led to the events of that night. Doing so helps catch red flags and foreshadowing hints that are sprinkled about. Though the execution needs work in some ways, I do believe in not only the story but Hollie's ability to pull it off in a masterful way. Will be sitting on the edge of my seat to see what happen as the story develops."
