Nick sat backstage at the concert, talking with his bandmate and best friend, Brian. AJ and Howie came in.

“What’s up, guys,” Nick said.

“Nick, there is gossip in the chat room on the website, we went in under alias to watch the conversations and this girl was in the chat saying she was married to you and that she was dead serious, she said she was Mrs. Nickolas Gene Carter, and she said she had proof,” AJ said.

“I didn’t get married,” Nick said.

“We know that, we have to find out what the truth behind it is,” AJ said.

“Yeah, I want to know who is lying about being married to me,” Nick said.

“Her online chat screen name was nickysgirl,” Howie said.

“Any profile listed with it?” Nick asked.

“No,” AJ said.

“Dammit, I want to know who this girl is!” Nick said.

“After the show, all of us will get online to see if she gets on,” AJ said.

“Yeah,” Brian said. They all went to their dressing rooms and got ready for the show.

Meanwhile…in the audience…

Hayley stood there with her best friend, Alicia, waiting for the show to start. She couldn’t believe she won tickets to the concert and in the front row.

“Hayley, you are so lucky, you got front row tickets to see the Backstreet Boys, awesome!” Alicia said. Hayley smiled.

“I know, it is awesome, get to see them up close,” Hayley said.

“Did you go into the chat room today?” Alicia asked.

“Yeah, I played a joke on everyone,” Hayley said.

“You didn’t,” Alicia said.

“I did,” Hayley said.

“Are you going back in there?” Alicia asked.

“After the show,” Hayley said.

After the show, Hayley went home and went to her computer and logged on and signed into chat.

Meanwhile….at the hotel…

Brian, Nick, Howie, and AJ went to Howie’s room after grabbing their laptops and sat down in Howie’s room and logged on and joined the chat and saw nickysgirl in the room. Howie asked for a private chat and in the chat, he added Nick, Brian, and AJ to the chat. He told her he wanted to meet her in person. She told him that she usually doesn’t meet online people in person, but he said he was harmless and wanted to meet her in person. She said fine. He told her where to go. They logged off and waited. They sent Billy down to wait for her.

Later that night…

Hayley walked into the hotel and looked around. She couldn’t believe someone online in the chat room wanted to meet her. She knew by the looks of things that this is where the Backstreet Boys were staying, judging by the fans outside. A big guy came over to her. She looked up at him.

“Are you nickysgirl?” he whispered. She nodded.

“Come with me,” he said. She followed him to the elevators and went up to the fourteenth floor. She grew nervous at meeting the person from the chat. He opened up a room and let her go in. The door closed and she looked and her eyes widened. Sitting on the couch was Brian, Nick, Howie, and AJ of the Backstreet Boys. She stood by the door.

“Are you nickysgirl from the chat?” Howie asked. She slowly nodded.

“What is your name?” Brian asked.

“Hayley,” Hayley said softly.

“Are you from here?” AJ asked.

“Yes,” Hayley said. Nick got up and stood in front of her.

“Why are you telling lies?” Nick asked.

“What,” Hayley said.

“Howie and AJ were in chat today and you were going on and on about how you and I are married and you have proof,” Nick said. Hayley looked away.

“Where’s the proof?” Brian asked getting up.

“There is none,” Hayley said.

“So you lied,” Nick said.

“Not exactly,” Hayley said.

“What do you mean,” AJ said.

“What I mean is that I don’t tell the truth about myself online, I make up things online to keep my real identity safe, so no crazy maniacs come after me, if someone chats with me, I say I’m Hayley and I live in Florida, but I don’t say where,” Hayley said.

“Is your real name Hayley?” Nick asked.

“Yes,” Hayley said.

“So you told everyone you are married to me to protect your identity,” Nick said.

“Pretty much, you are my favorite Backstreet Boy, I didn’t want any psychos wanting to meet me so I said I’m married to you to get them to back off, I’m only thinking of keeping myself safe from psychos and people who want sex all the time,” Hayley said.

“Oh,” Nick said.

“Look, I’m sorry, I’ll stop saying those things and I won’t go into the chat anymore,” Hayley said turning to the door.

“Wait,” Nick said. Hayley looked at him.

“What,” Hayley said.

“We want to get to know you, well, I do,” Nick said.

“Me, too,” AJ said.

“Yeah,” Howie and Brian said.

“You guys don’t hate me for lying about being married to Nick,” Hayley said.

“You are just protecting yourself, we don’t hate you,” Brian said. Howie, AJ, and Nick nodded.

“But you guys are on tour,” Hayley said.

“Come with us,” Howie said.

“On tour, with you guys?” Hayley asked.

“Yeah,” Nick said.

“I have a job, my house, my best friend,” Hayley said.

“Bring your friend, lock up your house, quit your job,” Nick said.

“If I quit my job, I lose my house,” Hayley said.

“Give us the info and we’ll pay for the house,” Nick said.

“I couldn’t ask you guys to do that,” Hayley said.

“We want to,” AJ said.

“This isn’t a joke, right,” Hayley said.

“No joke,” Howie said.

“Why do you guys want to do this, I mean, I lied to everyone saying that I was married to Nick,” Hayley said.

“We understand why you did what you did, you didn’t want guys bothering you so you said you were married to me because I was the first guy you thought of,” Nick said.

“Fine, I’ll go with you guys and I’ll bring my friend, she is a big fan of yours, AJ, so watch out,” Hayley said. AJ grinned.

“So she’ll be all over me?” AJ asked.

“AJ, she’ll drag you to bed,” Hayley said. AJ’s eyes widened.

“She wants me?” AJ asked.

“Oh yeah, she is that crazy about you,” Hayley said.

“Get her here now,” AJ said. Hayley sighed and called Alicia.

“She’s coming over,” Hayley said.

“What is her name?” AJ asked.

“Alicia, I call her Ali,” Hayley said.

“Think she’ll let me call her that?” AJ asked.

“She’ll let you call her anything, AJ,” Hayley said.

“AJ,” Nick said.

“I won’t do it, Nick,” AJ said.

“What,” Hayley said.

“Nothing,” Nick said.

“Guys, what is it,” Hayley said.

“AJ has this rep of sleeping with girls and dumping them,” Nick said.

“What!” Hayley said.

“That rep was over before rehab,” AJ said.

“You sure?” Hayley asked.

“Yeah, why,” AJ said.

“Um, Ali’s last boyfriend was an asshole to her, he used to get drunk and beat her, last time, he put her in the hospital, he’s in prison now, she doesn’t want that to happen to her again, she fell for you when you went to rehab, she admires you for getting help and coming out of rehab better than ever, she wished her ex did that, she really loved him, now she hates him more than anything,” Hayley said.

“Hayley, I will not hurt her like that,” AJ said.

“You better not, or you’ll have to deal with me,” Hayley said.

“Tough girl,” AJ said.

“You have no idea, her ex was twice my size and I kicked his ass,” Hayley said.

“Okay, I’ll be sure not to piss you off,” AJ said.

“Stay on my good side and treat my best friend right and you’ll be fine,” Hayley said.
