Only Love Knows [A JAMAICAN STORY]

All Rights Reserved ©

Summary

"You want a hit?", he asked with an outstretched hand, offering me the blunt. I immediately hesitated. "Umm- No thanks, I don't smoke". "Come on now babes, it's just a puff", pushing the cigar so close to my face that I could feel the heat radiating from it. I knew I wasn't supposed to do it. But at the time, it seemed right and he was happy with it and that was the only thing I cared about. So I took it. I put the damp tip of the blunt to my lips and took a lengthy draw. I still remember the burn in my throat as I swallowed the smoke and how I gasped as for air when I coughed uncontrollably. I caught a glimpse of him from my side-eye. He was grinning, looking pleased, proud almost. Still coughing, I handed it back to him and using the hem of my uniform, I swiped my tongue a few times. Trying to get rid of the taste that I didn't like one bit. I didn't know better at the time, but thinking back, I wish I did. My mother would be so disappointed. Come to think of it, she'd kill me when I get home. And that's when panic hit me. I was leaning against the car of the biggest scammer in my community, smoking his cigarette and in my school uniform. Of all the things I had done to disappoint my mother, this was among the worst yet.

Welcome¡!

Hey Guys,

Yes y'all, I'm a Jamaican. Born and grown. Straiigghtttt Yaadie😜.

If you are looking for a Cinderella fairy tale then this book is not for you. It is not just a love story between the Protagonist and Antagonist but also about the love and support of family and friends, poverty, thuglove and hardcore violence.

There aren't many books written about the life of a true Jamaican teenage girl from an original point of view and I feel this is my chance to be an open door for person who lacks the experience and knowledge.

The are many things happening that we don't realize and it's more serious than we think.

There are rules and things to keep in mind.

1. NO harsh comments (constructive criticism is allowed to some extent)

2. NO backlash (Whether in reference to Author or other fellow readers) The characters have their own wills and are of legal age to make their own decisions.

3. NO copying of this book or it's contents

4. I hold no offense to anyone of any race, religion or culture.

Disclaimers

This book WILL contain MATURE SCENES between the main characters, VIOLENCE and FOUL USE OF LANGUAGE so if you feel uncomfortable with such content then this book is not for you.

THIS book will makes reference to RACIAL SLURS so if you feel uncomfortable with such content then there's no space for you here.

I also make refences to both past and present behaviours of your typical Jamaican. I know that this is a very risky topic but I am a person of strong culture and I believe it's what makes us who we are.

I am entirely against sexism so any relation to that particular title will not be stationed in this book.

This book is written entirely based on Author's imagination. Any relation to any other contents is clearly coincidental.

I do not take plagiarism lightly. A person can spend hours in end trying and bring their imagination to life for pleasure or entertainment and someone just steals it. I see this as quite unfair so please don't copy my work or I will report you.
