The Adventure Begins

(Katherine POV)

You might be wondering who am I exactly? Well my name is Katherine I’m 15 years old and attend North Ridge High School I’m currently a sophomore and my best friend is Claire we’ve been friends since kindergarten.If you’re wondering what’s going to happen? Well Claire and I went on this excellent adventure filled with buried treasure and a map you should have seen it!

-The Day Before-

Morning

Every morning my alarm would go off and I absolutely loathed hearing it whenever I woke up it just felt like I didn’t even sleep and especially dream.Did I even dream last night?! If I did I couldn’t remember anything but well you know the show must go on! I was still laying in my bed it felt so cozy and comfortable I never wanted to leave that’s when my mother entered my bedroom,”Katherine darling it’s time to get up and get dressed for school if you don’t you’re going to be late I can’t take you to school today I have a meeting with my boss so you should take the bus then do you understand?” I looked into her eyes and smiled,”I completely understand mom I love you.” That’s when I got up from my bed of mine and prepared to get dressed for the day since it was just beginning.

-30 Minutes Later-

I walked downstairs eyeing my mother making breakfast for my younger brother Charlie whom was only two years old and he deserved the whole wide world,”Hey mom I better head off to school love you!” I hugged her while giving her a kiss,”Love you as well Charlie I hope you have a phenomenal day with Katie,” I kissed his cheek that’s when my mom finally responded with a smile to her face,”I hope you have a beautiful day at school Katherine tell Claire hi for me!”That’s when I closed the door and began walking to the bus stop.

I was just waiting around for the bus stop when I spotted Mark walk right beside me he was my guy best friend we always hanged out,”Hey Mark how is everything?” I proclaimed with a hopeful smile,”I’m doing swell Katherine just waiting for the bus stop and how are you doing?” I eyed him out of the corner of my eye and I responded clearly,”I’m doing pretty well Mark.” That’s when I heard the sound of the bus stopping in front of us that’s when suddenly the door flung open Mark and I walked into the bus to find seats in the middle that’s when I spotted Claire waving at me and she finally eyed Mark,”Hey guys we could seat in the three seater so we could talk on the ride to school.”I sat by the window,Claire was in the middle,while Mark took the aisle seat that’s when the bus began driving towards North Ridge High School this is where the adventure begins or is it?
