There are things that fans don't know about Kim Doyoung. Even for his members or his best friend. He is suffering from illness.
It started when he was young and became severe when he began to work in the company and debuted as an idol. The only people that know of his illness are their manager and the Chairman. Doyoung tried so hard to keep it a secret to everyone so that they won't get worried or become a burden, especially with his members.
The illness is a sleeping abnormality when someone stays asleep for longer hours than an average person. He can sleep in 48 hours without eating or waking up, making his body normal and stable.
When Doyoung became an idol, he experienced so much stress, and as he worked harder, his illness also gave him a hard time. He needs to sleep more, but because of schedules while promoting their album plus adding the practice. Kim Doyoung started to experience abnormalities.
He once went to their family doctor for a check-up and gave him some medicines and more vitamins so his body will handle the busy schedules.
One side effect of this illness was when Doyoung had a lack of sleep. His muscles will get numb to the point that he can't feel it anymore. It doesn't matter what parts of his body, but the popular spot is his left thigh. Another was the pain in his hands and a nosebleed.
For years after Doyoung's debut, he skillfully kept it a secret to himself. Aside from their manager, no one knew his pain. He works so hard to become active and tries so hard to fit in. Doyoung is a genius at hiding his illness. You can say that he can endure the pain whenever it comes to him and pretend to be okay. All the members of NCT don't know about it and don't have any idea about his illness. They all thought that Doyoung is a sassy, cheerful person who can be trusted and help without holding back. He is kind.

"Doyoung, did you drink your vitamins?." Mr. Baek said as he stared at Doyoung, camouflaging his medicine as vitamins.
"Oh, I forgot Hyung." Doyoung mumble. He is sitting in the passenger seat. He is the only artist in the car because all of them are at the studio.
"You..." Mr. Baek said, frowning at him.
Doyoung is checking his phone, not paying attention to his manager. He received text messages from Mark, Haechan, and Taeyong asking him to come to the studio to film a live show. Also, some members asked him to buy coffee when he got back.
Doyoung sighs after reading his member's messages. He can't come today because he needs to see Dr. Jin for his weekly check-up. Aside from that, he will go to therapy and sleep for half a day so his body won't collapse.
To Hyung Taeyoung,
I'm sorry Hyung, I can't go today.

They went to the hospital. Doyoung almost dozed off because of tiredness, but his members' text messages kept tracking him, asking him where he was.
Unfortunately, today some of the NCT members will join the subunit made by the company called Super M. Famous groups like Exo will join the formed unit to promote, especially in the US. This day was the last filming of their leader and his best friend Taeyong as NCT since tomorrow will be his flight to the US.
Doyoung didn't mind it because Taeyong is a hardworking person. Another reason was primarily personal. He didn't want to be found out. This sickness is a secret that only his family, the manager, and the company president know. It's tiring to hide it, but he has no choice.
"Doyoung! Kim Doyoung!" Called by Mr. Baek, who was frowning at him, he gave him a tissue.
Doyoung cringes when he sees blood dripping from his nose. His phone was also covered with blood that half of the screen can't see anymore. Doyoung accepted the tissues that his manager handed him. He wiped out the blood from his nose and also cleaned his phone. He uses wet tissues and cleans everything. He didn't reply to them anymore and focused on his nose that kept dropping blood.
They reach the hospital, and Doyoung sets up his wig because he doesn't want the people to recognize him. Especially since his nose didn't stop bleeding, they went inside the building and quickly went to Dr. Jin's office. In the mid 40's appeared in the broad cozy office. Doyoung sees Dr. Jin is busy reading papers but stops when he sees him.
Dr. Jin runs towards Doyoung, who is having a difficult time with nose bleeding. He hardly breathed, but he was used to it. It will take more minutes to stop.
Dr. Jin frowned when he saw how Doyoung became paler and thinner. He can see his fatigue and tries to hold himself back not to scold Doyoung or tell his brother about his dire condition. He also gazed at his manager for allowing Doyoung to work more when he was ill. But his professionalism and his consideration to his long-time patient halted him. He knows how Doyoung works so hard for his passion. He has no heart to take it away from him.
Doyoung fell asleep after the bleeding stopped. He has an IV and a monitor for his heartbeat. Doyoung will sleep now, and they know that he will wake up tomorrow or maybe the next day. Mr. Baek sighs and looks at Doyoung. He was glad that Doyoung was not in pain... but his heart still aches when Doyoung is in this condition.
"Hyung, please don't tell my brother." Doyoung said while still struggling to wipe the blood on his nose.
The red color was painted on his pale skin. Doyoung closes his eyes and furrows his eyebrows. He wiped them more, and his upper lip near his nose was colored pink. Doyoung let out a deep sigh. He was tired and felt dizzy. He drinks water and rests his head in the seat, trying to get a nap.
