Chapter 1
RENEE
I walked along the road to get to the club, knowing it was getting dark.
The cab had to drop me off a few feet away, because the driver got scared when I mentioned the club.
“Why the hell did she want to go there?” I muttered to myself as I approached the club.
I pulled down the dress I was wearing. Paula bought it for me, telling me that it would suit me. When I placed it on, I knew you could see my ass if I bent over. Don’t get me started on the heels she had me wear, which looked like hooker heels. The dress didn’t too low on my thighs, but the thigh-high boots rested above my knees, revealing some skin. I had my hair in loose curls but wore a tie around my wrist just in case I wanted put it up. I hated being hot and sweaty.
The club where my friend, Paula, was supposed to meet me was a few steps away. Paula got my outfit ready the night before, as she was nagging me to go, only she had to work later than usual. She was going to meet me here, but she told me she would introduce me to some people—one in particular, Jax.
The club was well known, and not for its partying—that was word of mouth. I had never been until tonight.
The club itself was known to those who attended there. Everyone knew monsters roamed the world, perverts and murders lurking in the dark, but there was also vampires and werewolves.
I thought Paula had lost her mind when she told me, but she showed me a clip of the club circulating on the internet of a vampire devouring a woman sexually. Her moans could be heard as the vampire fucked her against the wall.
I don’t know whether this was at the club or not, but I couldn’t take my eyes off the woman. The desire shone through her eyes as the vampire pounded into her.
Paula sent me the video link to the website of the club.
I watched many videos, but that one was hot.
Who the hell was allowing this to happen? I thought, but also thought that I needed to get fucked like that.
The website said you were only allowed one entry, but I knew Paula had been there a few times. I wonder how she managed to get in there to start with?
Paula managed to get me a ticket to go, but she never told me how.
All I had from her was that I needed to be fucked hard by something, and this is where I would get it.
I knew she meant well, but I wanted nothing serious after the jerk I was with last fall. I guess she thought getting fucked by a vampire or werewolf might be up my alley instead.
I finally managed to get to the club, and there was no sign of Paula.
She gave me my ticket yesterday after she got my outfit ready and said she would meet me there, outside.
I pulled my phone out and swiped it open.
I knew I should have texted her to find out where she was, but I opened the link Paula gave me and the video came on.
As I played it, the music was blaring, and I watched the woman getting fucked against that wall once more. I have watched this video too many times to count.
“You know there will be many more inside,” came a voice.
I looked up and knocked my phone off, gulping as I stared at the person in front of me.
The man was tall with dark hair and piercing grey eyes. He was stunning, like something out of a supermodel ad. My mouth went dry as I watched a slow smirk spread across his face. “Cat got your tongue, little one?” he said as he moved closer to me.
I stared at him but shook my head. “I… I was…” I stuttered; I couldn’t even form a sentence as the guy’s eyes burned into me.
The guy moved closer once more, and there was a foot between us.
I closed my eyes and tried to calm down, but my heart and pussy weren’t having any of it. Both had minds of their own.
This man was causing all sorts of problems for me, and some of it was in an intensely good way.
I opened my eyes and could feel the man’s intense gaze on me as I licked my lips and watched as he bit his lower lip.
Jesus Christ, he could make me come by just that look alone.
I cleared my throat. “I’m waiting for my friend,” I said, trying to sound calm.
The man whose eyes were trailing up my body stopped when they landed on mine, and he gave me a big smile. “You’re Paula’s friend,” he said.
My mouth dropped open; I couldn’t speak and only nodded at him like a nodding dog. Saying that, how the hell did he know about Paula? How did he know I was the one?
The man laughed.
“Paula’s inside,” he said. “She couldn’t wait to get in and have fun.”
I frowned.
Paula was as adventurous as they came. I mean, I caught her having sex before. The position I saw her in was something I had never heard of, let alone seen, but I remember I couldn’t keep my eyes off her.
Paula never minded me watching; she thought it was sexy as sin if her friend watched.
I never joined in, though.
The man cleared his throat, which pulled me back from my thoughts. I stared at him and smiled. “Shall we?” he said as he placed his hand on me.
I looked at it for a moment. “I won’t bite,” he said as I placed my hand into his, but a sudden tingle rippled through me and sent a jolt of electricity through me. I was about to move with him when he lowered his head toward my ear, and all the heat rushed through me as his cold breath fanned my neck when he spoke. “Unless you want me to, princess,” he said. “You smell so divine.”
I gulped, not knowing whether to be afraid or turned on by what he’d said. He placed his hand on my lower back and started walking with me, guiding me toward the club’s entrance.
His hand felt cold on my bare back, but it was soothing.
I felt nervous, but something about the man made me feel safe. It sounded weird in my head, but I knew something was going to happen, and I was looking forward to it.
I could feel the man’s eyes on me, which sent a shiver through me again and made the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end.
I didn’t look up at him; I knew I would be a goner if I did.
I thought there’s no turning back as he pulled open the door, and we stepped inside.
