I can’t get used to any new name
texting me good morning,
I don’t think I ever will.
It feels like midnight still,
with me tossing and turning,
wondering how I became,
to you, just another name!
Having met you filled my emptiness,
but also, it was pointless!
We could’ve just stayed strangers!
You were my sunshine rays,
now replaced by dreary days,
where nothing is the same,
and no one compares.
