Embers

"I love reading this book. The plot and twist, everything leave you wondering about what will happen next. I appreciate that author is trying something new and different. I barely know any genre but this one has aroused my interest in it. I'm looking forward for more updates. And Its grammar is perfect, maybe there would be some mistakes but I didn't find any. So, it was fine by me. Keep it up and good luck for your book."

Interesting Story

"I like the two main characters in their own little worlds, still so far apart yet destined to meet. Their unique attributes, different backgrounds, and their unique gifts. It would be interesting to see where this goes."

Great!

"The only reason I rated the story 4 stars, was because I'm not a big fan of the genre, but everything else was on key, and intriguing! The entire story felt very official, and I loved it! I'm a big reader, and this story entertained me. I hope you keep writing!"

Into the Forest

"Review for the first 4 chapters: This story is a delightful concept about a boy thrust into a forest of mystery to learn not only about himself, but about an impending darkness threatening his home and his family. Unfortunately, the reasoning behind thrusting Franklin into the forest isn't so obvious beyond his tutor deciding it was time. There are hints of an impending "evil" and how Franklin displays remarkable aptitude, but the first four chapters feel a bit vague. However, the author displays talent in creativity and with some love and care, I really know she can take the time to expand on chapter 1 to really impress upon the reader the "why" behind Franklins forest voyage and the "why" behind Prentice deciding Franklin over his siblings. I believe she can expand on details in a way these first four chapters can turn, easily, into twenty. The amount of detail covered in each is both interesting and fun. It is almost a shame to just see one chapter speaking to Franklin and his life in the castle when there is so much there the author can show a reader; his life, his family, days of training, heart softening anecdotes (like where he finds his mysterious book), etc. The same can be said about a young girl named Lily. Another challenge I pose to the author is to work with her tenses. There is a bit of jumping around where she will start in present tense and in the same sentence talking about the same subject, change to past tense or vice versa. Her creativity also shines through in how she describes monsters, but I fully believe she can take it one step further to show more than tell us about what she is seeing in her minds eye. Instead of giving monster two or three sentences, I push the author to give us two or three full paragraphs to help really ingrain the reader into the world she is building. All in all, I think this story is fun, interesting and I look forward to reading more."
