"I am who I am because of you. You are every reason, every hope, and every dream I’ve ever had.” -The Notebook

I imagined how the boy in my physics lessons would be the eternal love of my life. I’ve pictured going to marriage seminars and using our love story as an example of true love. A love that blossomed at first sight, the moment I saw him shirtless on the football field.

I’ve crushed on Jamie Soyinka since my senior secondary one(SS1). It's my final year of school, a whole 3 years watching and waiting to see if he catches the signals I have been giving.

I made it my business to know the littlest details about him. At 20, he was easily the oldest in the school because he had to stay home to take care of his sick mother.

He has life all figured out after school. Go to the UK, get a degree and take over his family business.

The more I found out about him, the more in love I became. What's there to not like? A man that is family oriented, has visions of where he is going, and plays football too.

I failed to remember that, ″We should love, not fall in love, because everything that falls, gets broken.″- Taylor Swift
