Chapter 1 - Dance away
It has been a busy week for Grace with planning two weddings and a baby shower. But she enjoyed what she did no matter how hectic it got.
She had started her own event management company just at 22. Starting with small gatherings and parties for friends and family, she now served the clients in Manhattan.
It had not been an easy journey to establish herself and climb to the top to tap the high society clients of New York. But friendliness, hard working nature and extreme patience had certainly helped.
"Do you finally have some time for me!?" Asked her friend Lilly on the call. She and Lilly had known each other since high school. She was a lawyer and lived in New York with her long time boyfriend Adam. They had been dating since the last 5 years and were quite serious about each other.
"Yes Lil, I'm finally free for this weekend. We can go shopping and then maybe for dinner; or go clubbing. Whatever you say!" Grace said while pouring herself a cup of coffee and getting comfortable on her couch.
"Great! Let's grab some lunch first. And we will decide what to do when we meet. Get ready, I'll pick you up in an hour!" Lilly said excitedly and ended the call.
Grace sighed. She knew it was going to he a long day. But she had not been able to meet Lilly for almost two weeks now so she was also very happy to spend the day with her best friend
They spent the whole day shopping and eating. Grace felt relaxed after many days. She was content with her life.
"Let's go dancing! Adam is joining us with couple of his friends." Lilly informed as they were billing.
"Oh god, I am already so tired. We have been out for atlast 5 hrs. I can't have the energy now Lil. Let's do it next weekend please!?" Grace
"You promised we will do whatever I say today. So don't whine and let's just go!!" Lilly said pulling her to the car.

As they entered the club, Adam navigated through the crowd towards them. He hugged Lilly giving a peck on her lips. "hi babe, hope you did not loot the stores!" He asked winking at her. His smile reaching his eyes as he looked at Lilly with affection.
Lilly kissed him back before giving him a look for his little comment.
"And who do we have here! I have not seen you in a month miss busy bee!" Adam said pulling Grace in a hug.
"Yeah, I think I have not seen anyone in month! Wedding seasons can get hectic" Grace said after she returned his hug.
"Let's go upstairs first. Get some drinks. I'll introduce you to my friends and then you can come back on the floor" Adam said wrapping his hand around Lilly.
Adam came from a wealthy family. He owned the club. But he was very down to earth and a complete gentleman. Five years ago when they were just 22 and dancing their hearts out, Adam had seen Lilly from the VIP box.
As they sat thinking what to order, a tall man wearing a sharp suit climbed the stairs. Adam frowned looking at him before excusing himself.
Adam was always busy talking and meeting new people. The girls just ordered drinks taking and hit the floor.
3 hours later, Grace was half drunk and exhausted. Her feet hurt from walking around the mall the whole day and with all the dancing. She could not wait to go back to her apartment and fall in her bed.
