Part 1 , Chapter 0 , The First Asura
In the beginning there was Nothing. Then came the elders : Brahma the creator , Vishnu the caretaker and Shiva the destroyer. The Elders created the world with all the things , animals , plants and Human Beings who were cast in the image of Elders themselves. To manage this world they created Gods.
The known world was divided in to 9 kingdoms and some 50 satrapies . One of the greatest was bharkash , headed by Chakravarti Samrat Dhyanesh Kourv , the line of suryavanshi kings who can trace their lineage to the Sun God himself. The rich land of Bharkash was endowed with beautiful cities , rivers , flora and fauna , Mountains and lakes. The king was deeply respected and loved by the praja (subjects) . But the only instability was the lack of male heir to the kingdom. King was blessed with only one daughter Sunanda , who was a beautiful yet a stubborn girl who refused to marry. Due to lack of any heir the whole kingdom was gradually becoming restless.
Sensing the stress of old King , Sunanda decided to do something. She went to the great sage Agnimisht for the problem. On taking great care for the soon to be samadhist sage she received a boon , A powerful Vedic mantra with a power to call upon any god and to be granted a wish.
The same mantra was used by Kunti , Mother of Pandavas , the 5 god child in dwaper yuga. But the anxiety of the kids led her to forget the exact mantra and the Great Sage got Samadhist.Sunanda was a adamant and persistent princess. She started chanting the mantra , each time modifying one word or other. Eventually the discovery was made but it was not what she had expected because instead of Gods she had summoned the Elders.
Hence when she came back she had with her 3 sons :
Prince Parsh The Pratham (Son of Creator) Prince Shree The Dwitiya (Son of Caretaker) Prince Akshay The Tritiya (Son of Destroyer)
The whole kingdom rejoiced on hearing this news & soon the glory of 3 princes stormed the world.
Parsh the Pratham (first) son of creator himself was a great pioneer and founder of modern science. His inventions were shaping the future.His engineering marvels started surprising the world and soon the whole bharkash was very well connected with modern roads and bridges. His contribution in the field of Ayurveda was legendary. He invented and discovered lots of herbs and medicines and for the first time mankind has actual hope to defeat many diseases.
Shree the Dwitiya (second) son of caretaker was wise beyond the rest of his peers. His policies and ideas in statecraft led to the flourishing of People. His various reforms in administration , trade , farming led to increasing prosperity of bharkash. Justice was served to people and bharkash was evolving as a model state for every other kingdom in the world.
Akshay the Tritiya (third) the son of destroyer was the greatest warrior and general the world has ever seen. He commanded the armies of bharkash and where ever he went destruction followed. His warfare and terror in enemy states was nerve breaking. He trained and raised the most elite royal army and with continuous new weapons in his arsenal he converted the army in the deadliest force of the world.
With the span of time bharkash became superpower. All the brothers loved and respected each other very much. After the demise of Queen Sunanda , in honour of the Queen A Ashwamedha yagya was conducted by the brothers. In this yagya a horse is worshipped and then let loose in the world to freely travel and wherever that horse goes , that area is annexed or conquered by the performer. Hence Akshay with his armies started following the Ashwa (Horse) , a campaign to conquer the world. Meanwhile Parsh developed the most beautiful and acclaimed botanical garden of the time.the great garden' s beauty and importance made even the gods jealous. Shree imposed a toll of just one paisa for entry in this beautiful garden and mocking the gods he placed a board that reads the royal decree stating " One paisa for humans and One hundred gold coins for gods".
The glory of garden soon reached heaven and the god king Indra along with his retinue and some other gods decided to visit this earthly marvel. When the retinue arrived the sentry positioned asked for one hundred gold coins from god as toll in the name of their kings . But the gods in all their power and arrogance dismissed the sentry and forcefully entered garden.They started plucking flowers and seeds from herbs. On hearing this destruction , Parth and Shree along with their army visited the garden and asked gods to stop.
The arrival of parth and shree aggravated the situation & the war erupted. The princes fought bravely but they were no match for the Gods. Both the Princes lost and were taken prisoners by the Gods. In the burst of anger , Gods humiliated them in front of their praja. Highly grieved Parsh , who was always advocate of non violence , left a message for Akshay. The message was carried by the trees and plants and the message was. " Avenge me "
It was seventh year of campaign for Akshay the Conqueror and he was owning most of the world . When the message arrived , only 2 kingdoms were left to be won. On hearing the message , so great was his rage and fury that the nearby forest was burned down which later was renamed as Taraka van. Akshay reached the capital city of hastinapur. He assembled the greatest army earth has ever seen. All the kingdoms and satrapies answered his call. The biggest god hunt was launched and some minor Gods were even taken as hostage. The Gods became overly terrified with Akshay and they stopped coming to earth altogether and the only thing that was keeping them safe was Akshay not having any idea upon how to reach heaven.
Guru Shukracharya was the old Guru of Gods but due to some dispute with God-King Indra he left gods . Akshay came to know that Shukracharya use to visit Earth on every Poornima ( full moon) to collect some herbs. It is said that for 13 days and night , Akshay travelled alone without food and water to the highest peak of Himalaya. He waited there till three more days for the arrival of Guru Shukracharya. Measuring his will and dedication , Shukracharya consented to be the Guru of Akshay. He took Akshay to a place outside this world , where
time flows very slow. Here he taught Akshay on how to become Anti God or later we know them as Asura. He also showed him the gateway to Heaven.
Soon the mighty Asura's invaded Heaven and the first Deva-Asura Sangram took place. Taking heavy losses when the Gods retreated , the world erupted in complete Chaos. The Elders were requested to address the conflict and The First Pact was created , in which the Gods took the first oath to not intervene with humanity directly and a lesser known oath that they will not rest until the line of Tritiya is completely destroyed and Heaven Avenged.
Lesser known fact is Shukracharya had a daughter Kalyani from a human mother. To hide Kalyani from Death , shukracharya has hidden her in this universe. When Akshay was training , he gradually fell in love with the beautiful daughter. Shukracharya deeply loved his only daughter and was heart broken when Kalyani desired to be wedded to Akshay yet in his heart he knows that this was the destiny of Kalyani , the wedding took place in a temple of Mahadeva (Ardhnarishwar). It is a Custom among great sages to grant a wish to a dying person ,Legend says that when Kalyani was dying shukracharya who also was a master of sanjeevni vidya (art of giving life to a dead person) offered her last wish, but Kalyani asked to be born again as the wife of Akshay in the rebirth. The cycle is said to be repeated in each birth.
