MASK #1
Third POV:
"Armani put the gun down! We can talk about this, okay?" Sebastian begs, his hands raised up in the air as a way of surrender.
"Talk about it? You still want to talk about this? How cruel could you be? Have you not hurt me enough, now this!" Armani, with a gun in her hand that's pointed at Sebastian, yells with tears running down her cheeks.
Pointing a gun at the love of your life is a different kind of pain but to Armani it's the worst kind of pain as she does this from the lounge of her dream house, where she was supposed to be creating good memories with Sebastian, instead she can't stop thinking about the shade of red the tiles will have when she pulls the trigger.
The huge diamond ring on her left finger, given to her by Sebastian when he had asked her to marry him, feels hot on her finger and being surrounded by all these strangers, who are the cause of all her pain right now, is not making things better.
Just when Sebastian thought he paid of all his debt with Karma, he forgot about one. It only took that one to destroy trust and to question love.
"Please, sweetheart, just listen..."
"I am tired of listening, Sebastian!" Armani yells, cutting Sebastian's sentence off.
The two, along with everyone else around them, remain silent, waiting to see what Armani will do next. They have no choice but to remain silent, they are, after all, at her mercy. Having something as heavy as a gun in the hands of anyone should be enough to make someone fear for their life.
Sebastian turns behind him, to face her, the woman he is protecting from the bullet that Armani might shoot.
"I need you and your family to leave so I can talk to her, okay?" Sebastian says, his voice low but not low enough for Armani not to be able to hear him.
"Tell me the truth, Sebastian. Do you love her?" Armani, her voice now so low, due to the huge lump in her throat that she is unable to swallow, asks in fear of what Sebastian's answer will be.
Sebastian remains silent. As if he has to pick his next words carefully, but what really is there to think about? The answer to this is easy.
When you have the love of your life, the only woman you claim to love, standing right in front of you, holding a gun that's pointed at you and she asks if you love someone else, the answer should simply be no, but instead, the answer Sebastian gives is...
"I care about her."
At those four words, Armani's hand tightens around the gun and she raises it up, this time pointing it right at Sebastian's chest.
"Armani!" Sebastian yells but his yell is left unheard as the loud sound of the gun goes off.
Armani pulled the trigger. She shot him, right at his chest, at least that's what she thinks as she drops the gun on the floor and her body follows right after, causing her vision to go pitch black.
That's the thing about a Happily Ever After story, when you think it's finally the end, when you think you can finally be happy, it shows you just how painful it can be before you can be happy. The question is: Is Armani willing to be patient with love for her Happily Ever After, or will she pick a gun up and shoot the love of her life?
I guess that question has already been answered.
