PROLOGUE
Three years back, fate knocked on Isabella Parker's door through a call to her father's office. It was a week since she had returned from Canada, where she spent her earlier life, free from the eyes of the public. The world knew her parents but had no clue about her life in Canada.
When Isabella reached the office, her father was sitting at his massive desk. Someone else was there as well—a woman with curly hair just like her.
“My child,” her father said. “Your mom and I have thought about something. We want you to become one of us.”
Isabella folded her arms and gave her father and the woman a stern look. “You better tell me it's a joke,” she chuckled. “You two want to mess with my life.”
“No, my daughter,” the woman said. "We want the best for you. We want you to become an actress, someone who will empower the youth."
“Seriously, Mom? Because I have a father who's a film producer and a mother who's an ace broadcaster, I can't live a simple life, right?” Isabella retorted. “Fine, I will do it. Let me know when I'll go to the set for my first movie.”
Within a short period, the world grew to love Isabella. They saw her as a goddess—a strong young woman, brave and high-spirited. But deep down, she was a lonely person with bipolar disorder who hid her true feelings from the camera.
For Isabella, accepting fame was her way of being the daughter her parents desired. Little did she know that an important night would come, turning her once glittering life into hell.
