Chapter 1
Mynx meowed in my ear that morning, laying on my chest.
“Morning to you too, Tuna breath.” I mumbled, wiggling my noes, and petting my dark grey kitten.
He meowed in response, pressing his face in my face.
“I’m up, I’m up.” I sighed, sitting up, holding Mynx to my chest.
I placed the kitten down on the carpet, and sluggishly slunk into the kitchen.
“Morning April.” My mother called as I entered.
“Morning mom.” I mumbled.
“Pancakes, or bacon?” She asked.
“I’ll take the pancakes.” I replied quietly.
“Pancakes? Sure. I’ll get the coffee going as we wait.” She chirped.
I sat at the tall chairs, grabbing my paint set, and current project.
I sighed, biting my lip as I painted the daisy in front of me.
Mom passed me a cup of coffee, and waddled off.
“Sleep well last night?” She asked standing over the stove.
“Yeah. Same dream as alwayse.” I replied.
“The one with the daisy’s?”
I nodded.
“That is a peculiar dream, isn’t it? Two boys, a daisy field, and your school, wasn’t it?”
“Yep.” I grumbled.
Mom slid the plate of pancakes across the counter to me.
“Eat quick, you’re gonna be late for school.”
I grumbled, and ate the pancakes quickly, trying to finish the painting before I went to hell.
Mynx meowed, rubbing against my foot.
“I wish you could come to school with me, Mynx. You’d make everything so much better.” I muttered, standing with my plate.
He meowed in response, following me.
I popped a can of tuna, and mixed it with some milk, placing it in his bowl.
He grumbled, munching on the fish.
I went into my room, changeing into my uniform.
A white shirt, a red tie, and a red and orange plaid skirt.
I looked at myself in the mirror.
I was tall with brown hair, blue grey eyes, and twelve motivational bracelets on each wrist
Good enough.
I grabbed my black and red backpack, leaving my room, and locking it behind me.
“Meow” Mynx meowed behind me as I went to leave the house.
“I’ll be back tonight, Mynx. Be good.” I called to him behind me, and left.
