Prologue

"Oh god, ten more minutes!" came a voice from under the covers.
**Crrrr...**
"Come on, I want to sleep!" Suddenly, a hand came out from under the covers and fumbled for the alarm clock, which *had* gone off, of course it had.
"You should get up now, it's not good to be late on your first day at work," Anna said lovingly as she pressed the alarm clock and carefully gathered the duvet from her boyfriend.
They had been dating for five years, but they had only started living together a year ago. Anna was excited about it at the time, but as time went on, her boyfriend started to get on her nerves.
He didn't want to get up in the morning, and she had to force him to wash in the evening because he looked very disheveled. Anna tried to convince herself it was because of work; she didn't want to break up and go back to her parents saying, "You were right." They had always been against Tom, so she preferred to pretend everything was fine.
After half an hour, she finally managed to get Tom to breakfast, where she bade him "Good morning" and went off to work.
There was no indication that Anna's life would change today.
