The range of age (part-1)
The day after Laxmi Puja, I was eating dinner at my kitchen around the evening . At that time, I heard a commotion from many people in my neighbor's yard.
I saw from my home 's porch, a large group of people had come to enjoy the Deusi.
All of the groups were dressed traditional Nepali attire, including a Daura Suruwal, black bhoto, and a Dhaka Topi on their heads.
Wearing a garland of centipede flowers around their neck, and carrying of madal, they seemed to excited for deusi.
In as flash, I finished the my rest of work, and I came to the porch and sat on a chair.
In that courtyard, the people of the Deusi group seemed ready to start the Deusi. The head of that house was sitting in the front row, and she was going to be seen special fun sight.
The children from that house were setting off fireworks on the road in front of them.
Seeing the fun those children had with fireworks reminded me very old memories.
. I clearly remember playing with fireworks when I was little. We called it Jiljhile.
After setting fire to the tip of the jiljhile,, would slowly burn to be shimmer and then finished.
We would buy them by asking mom for we money, and to held one by one Jiljhile in both hand, by lighting a fire at tip, we would walked around Ratna Chowk.
This was a rare entertainment for us, because we could only play during the Tihar.
I also really liked the Langur burja. Another fun game played only during Dashain and Tihar, the great festival of Nepalese.
I would keep playing until I had money, and even forgot to go home, then my brother would find and take me home.
With the long holidays of Dashain and Tihar, new clothes and money in pockets, and the balloons filled with air in our hand, things like that used to bring us to our peak of happiness.
At that moment, the TomTom (madal)rang in loud noise in my neighbor's courtyard, because Deusi was about to begin.
A group of people some of older and some rest young began singing of Deusi's song "Jhilimili, Jhilimili, Battiko Jhilimili, Tihar KO Jhilimili"
.Deusi group started in the courtyard, withal singing and dancing in harmony with a melody and a rhythm, saying"Deusure, Deusure", to the tune of the TomTom.
The method of the Deusi activity was a symbol of pure Nepali culture, and it so lovely to watch and listen to.
Perhaps, everyone Nepali has had the sweet experience of enjoying Deusi at some age or another. I have it too. Now remembering those things brings joy to my heart.
Stealing my mom's saree(clothes) to look good on Deusi, singing with dancing ownself, wearing garlands on Tihar, soaking red paper in water and painting cheek and lips red, either the singing is good, nor is dancing to the tune, but enjoying a lot, collecting grain in bags and money in pockets all these are among the best memories of my life.
With a few exceptions, we all have our own childhood memories, and some of them are very memorable.
In fact, some experience in life are like stories, unwritten and unconnected, like a unique creation of life's important moments.
Life is a unique story. When we start to reading, memories come back in one by one. The more we read, the more fresh and vivid it becomes.
So we should try once to read it, because life doesn't have back up option.
As if my stomach had not been filled while eating delicious food, the attractive Deusi of my neighbour's yard is also finished, which I had been watching with pleasure.
The hustle and bustle there became quiet in an instant, then I also went into the room to sleep.,,,,,,,,,, continue
