🌒 Part 3: Breaking the Ice (Extended)

The next morning, the sky above the goblin palace was filled with fog. Kelith stood alone in the training ground, holding her sword. Her long hair still covered her face, and her silence was louder than any words.

Onsel arrived, spinning a second sword in his hand.

“Morning, sunshine,” he said casually. “Let me guess — today also no talking?”

Kelith didn’t reply. She just raised her sword sharply.

“Ah. So we speak in swords today. Alright then.”

They began to train. Kelith’s attacks were strong and serious, but Onsel blocked them with ease and jokes.

“You almost got me there — I think I’ll cry.”

She said nothing, but her swings got faster. He dodged with a grin.

Even without words, something strange and special started between them. They are always clashing, always teasing, but secretly connected. They argued through their blades, and somehow, it felt like a strange friendship was forming.

From the high balcony, the Goblin King watched quietly.

“She’s starting to open up,” he thought. “Slowly.”

That night, Onsel met the king in his private chamber to report.

“She didn’t talk,” he said, kneeling before the king. “But she nearly sliced off my ear. I think that’s her way of saying hello.”

The king gave a small smile. “Keep going. She must learn to feel… and to show her face. The clock is ticking.”

Onsel stood up, a little more serious now.

“She’s stubborn. But I’ve dealt with worse. And louder.”

---

Onsel left the king’s chamber, walking through the quiet palace halls. Just as he passed the back courtyard, he paused. Something in the air had changed — colder, darker.

He turned a corner — and saw her.

Kelith stood in the middle of the garden, surrounded by thick black fog. Her hair floated as if in a storm. Her arms were raised, and glowing marks shimmered on her skin. Her face was still hidden, but her body shook with power.

Dark shadows circled her like wolves. The ground beneath her feet cracked.

She was terrifying. Wild. Beautiful.

And for a second, Onsel forgot to breathe.

“So that’s her real power…” he whispered. His eyes sparkled with something strange — not fear, but pure interest.

“She’s not just a goblin girl... she’s something else.”

He smiled to himself and turned away quietly.
