Summary

Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, “The dice of God are always loaded.” Abheesht Singh Ranawat, the King of Mewar, found it in the most peculiar way possible. A promise was made years ago, and he knew he had to honour his Dado-sa’s words. At the ripe age of twenty-nine, the Rana-sa of Mewar had come to pact with the fact that everything in his life was pre-determined. He was the protector and promoter of the historical and architectural heritage of Mewar, now modern-day Udaipur; he was the most successful conglomerate that had a chain of heritage and luxury hotels right under his thumb; and now he was to be the husband of a girl he had never even seen. Right when he thought he had it all figured out, in came a whirlwind that swept him right off his feet. Anubhuti Choudhary. The moment he saw her for the very first time, it was sealed as the perfect photograph in his heart. Nothing before had been so magical, so enticing, so captivating. His heart yearned for yet another glimpse, but she was not meant to be his. However, God rolled his dice, destiny played its game, and fate brought her right into his arms. It was then that he realized that she had a million words to say, but none could be read in her eyes, for hers was a story to be told on a much deeper level.

♔ TROPES

~ Love at first sight.

~ Age gap.

~ He fell first. But who fell harder? I leave that up to you, my dear readers, to decide.

~ He is a King with a soft heart and a CEO with determination.

He has power, and he knows that it has been vested in him for a reason. Being a king does not make him pompous and overbearing, but down-to-earth and responsible. He aims to work for a change that brings out the good in society. He is not cold, broody, or arrogant; rather, reticent and disciplined. He smiles and loves with all his heart. He believes that expressing his emotions does not make him weak, but rather just a little more human. However, that does not make him vulnerable. Hurt his own and he will bring the wrath of hell upon you with just a flick of his finger. Approach him with the noblest cause, and he will never let you go empty-handed.

~ She believes in ‘Fight it till you make it’. She is someone whose feelings have been frozen over time. However, make a place in her heart, and she will give you her whole world. What is dreaded by all has been a huge part of her life, and that makes her way more mature and level-headed than people of her age. She has witnessed the deadliest of the atrocities of mankind, but that does not make her weak or vulnerable. She is not a victim; she is a fighter.

~ Replaced bride. However, allow me to tell you that this is not your cliché replaced bride stories. There is a twist in the tale!

~ A social issue. I always aim at conveying a story with a cause: a second chance at life. That is why you will find most of my stories revolving around a certain social issue. ’If a woman can be as gentle as Maa Saraswati, she can be fierce like Maa Kali at the same time.’

~ What this story does not have: Misunderstanding, breakups, unnecessary separation, and obsessive second leads. Phew! That is a relief, is it not?

But fear not, my dear readers, for this story will have its own fair share of twist and turns that will keep you engaged throughout the tale.

Heartiest greetings if you have decided to give this story a try. I will try my best not to disappoint you. However, if you feel dissatisfied at any point in the story, you are free to walk out anytime. No hard feelings.

• Please note: Nothing is perfect in this world, and neither is my English. That is why there is a fair chance of finding grammatical errors. So, if you happen to come across one, do kindly point it out. The keyword being ‘kindly’.

Constructive criticism is always welcomed with open arms, but please refrain from making rude and derogatory comments on anything.

Plagiarism is a serious offence. What you copy in a matter of minutes is someone’s days and months of hard work. And trust me, that is outright disrespecting their efforts and diligence. One cannot even fathom the pain and hurt the writer actually feels. I have been in that position several times, and that is not a good feeling at all. It is truly discouraging. So, if you find someone copying my story or even a part of it, please let me know.

‼️All the POEMS that you will find further in the story are written by me. So, please do not use them without any prior consent, and even if you do, do not forget to give credit for the same.‼️

• Also, if it is not too much to ask, please help me spread the word about the book if you find it good enough. Your words of encouragement mean a lot.

Stay blessed and happy reading!

With love,

Stella ❤️
