Summary

In the ruthless world of ancient India, some men are not born to love—they are born to consume. Maharaja Rudrasen Rajvanshi has conquered seven kingdoms with blood and fire. His name alone makes warriors tremble, his empire stretches farther than the eye can see—and yet all his victories crumble the instant he sees Princess Aaradhya Chandrawanshi. It is not love. It is not desire. It is hunger—ugly, relentless, and violent. To Rudrasen, Aaradhya is not a woman. She is a wound in his mind, a fever in his blood. The more she resists, the deeper his madness festers. He doesn’t dream of courting her—he dreams of caging her, of breaking her will until her defiance turns into surrender. He tells himself he cannot live without her, but the truth is darker still: he does not know how to exist unless she is his. Aaradhya, raised in peace and gentleness, suddenly finds herself the obsession of a man who rules through terror. She is adored like a treasure, guarded like a prisoner, and watched like prey. Her beauty, once a blessing, has become her curse. For Rudrasen will burn kingdoms, murder innocents, and defy gods themselves to keep her in his grasp. He calls it devotion. She knows it is destruction. But as the walls close in and his madness grows, Aaradhya must decide: fight until her last breath, or risk being swallowed whole by the darkness that is Rudrasen Rajvanshi. When a conqueror confuses obsession for love, the only ending is ruin. A dark, deranged romance set in the shadows of ancient India—where power breeds madness, obsession breeds violence, and some men would rather destroy the world than be denied.

Author's Note

Dear Reader,

When I wrote my first novel, I gave you a love story with a man who cherished gently, who built instead of broke. But with The Maharaja’s Obsession, I wanted to explore the other side of love—the side that consumes, corrupts, and destroys.

Rudrasen Rajvanshi is not a hero. He is not meant to be idolized. His obsession is violent, his devotion is destructive, and his story is a warning disguised as a romance. Aaradhya’s journey is the heart of this novel: a woman caught between her innocence and the hunger of a conqueror who mistakes possession for love.

This book is dark. It is not an easy love story. It asks you to sit with discomfort, to question the allure of power, and to accept that obsession can never be mistaken for devotion.

Everything you will read belongs to me, Tulip Wynter, and I pour these words into your hands with gratitude. Thank you for stepping into this world I’ve created—where kingdoms burn, hearts bleed, and love is not always beautiful.

With love and honesty,

Tulip Wynter
