Actions Lead to Consequences
"This is a horrifying story of two brothers that had screwed up their lives when they were teenagers. It has a very strong and important message that every young person should hear: with every action you take, there are consequences; they might be consigned to terrible thoughts of guilt after the action taken, and/or catch up to you later in life. It’s a sad story because of how the families were affected. It should be required reading in schools, but maybe change the f word in it to something tamer because it is for young people to read. (I’m an old lady that hasn’t gotten used to the trend of it.) A very good and unique idea about including questions for discussion. Chapter 15 is missing at the time I read it,"
It has enough potential
"Hi Daniel your Blurb is pretty challenging haha :).I particularly loved the story, focused on Bruce as he was being taken to jail. As life sometimes surprises us in a negative way.I liked the story and felt sorry for Donna. I advise you to change the cover of your book, look for something more serious for this beautiful story."
Amazing and innovative
"Love it. I want to promote your Inkitt book for free to my list of newsletter subscribers. If that is ok with you then please email me at exzordersplrwso AT gmail.com to book your spot, thanks."
Family Honor
"Family Honor is an interesting tale based on sibling interactions. Decisions made in youth cannot always be expunged. Others are impacted. Then there's the guilt ... This story is down to earth and interesting and to be continued."
Interesting
"The book was interesting to read, even though I got confused when he was in jail and then when he was hypnotized, and he got out. I didn't understand if he was still in jail or if he was hypnotized. Fix the errors in your novel and you should be good.."
A Tragic Tale
"I enjoyed reading your story, Daniel. It is indeed a tragic tale, and I appreciated the relationships in this story and how you showed the characters develop and learn from their experiences. I also appreciated some of the lessons in the story, such as the fact that what matters is how we act, not what we believe."
A book or a script
"Who'd have thought, so much could depend on a children's game. Drunk men make crazy decisions lol. The story line and characters felt real. I believed them. This could be the makings of a script, it certainly reads like one. Try to keep different speakers in separate paragraphs, it just makes it easier for readers to know who's saying what.T Toward the end of the bloody mess, he stops hallucinating, but then he starts again in Chapter 8? That seems a little inconsistent. I think Chapter 12 draws out the bromance a little too long. It's like a giant shift in your stories direction. Your story could have been a single scene catch-up between brothers, OR, the story of a good man with a difficult decision to make, but not both."
Family Honor
"This story delves in relationship between siblings, the protectiveness and the closeness between the brothers. Perhaps some improvement could be made in the narrative style to let the readers know a little bit on the background - but then it's only me. Drugs and alcoholism for youth remains a challenge and the author has described it in a nice way. Overall I found this quite an interesting piece of writing."
