Summary

After the accident, one death, and I awoke not as myself, but as Rosaline—the notorious Omega duchess fated to die in disgrace. Everyone despises her. Her family hates her. And in the novel I once read, her end was written in blood. But this time, it’s me behind her mask. To survive, I must play the villainess while secretly unraveling the schemes that condemn her. Yet the more I pretend, the more dangerous the game becomes… especially when the radiant Princess Erica, the heroine herself, begins to see through my mask. Politics, betrayal, and forbidden attraction—can an ‘evil’ Omega rewrite her fate?

Chapter 1

One day you died in an accident, and when you opened your eyes you found yourself in the world of the Omegaverse novel you had once read.

But you woke up in the body of one of the evil characters—a female omega named Rosaline. Everyone hated her because she was hard-hearted and always manipulative. But you weren’t like her.

Rosaline was a duchess who, in the novel, was executed because of a scheme created by a witch character named Lucas (an alpha male) who despised her. He made others believe that Rosaline had poisoned Princess Erica (an alpha female). Prince Oliver (an alpha male), who was Erica’s brother, was furious and ordered Rosaline’s execution.

But now you are in Rosaline’s body. What will you do to prevent that from happening?

Duchess Rosaline had an older brother named Duke Liam (an alpha male), but he hated her, and her parents didn’t like her either.

It’s been a week since you realized what had happened, and for now no one knows about who is truly inside Rosaline’s body.

The ballroom glittered with chandeliers, music swelling in the air as nobles laughed and twirled across the polished floor. You—no, Rosaline—slipped another honey tart into your mouth, savoring the sweetness. If the original Rosaline had been here, she’d have made some cutting remark or stirred trouble already. Instead, you leaned lazily against the food stall, perfectly content to be ignore

As you watch, Princess Erica is dancing with Duke Liam, your older brother. You find them so cute together, since they are the main characters from the manga. Meanwhile, you busy yourself with the food stalls.“

They’re… cute together

,” you whispered to yourself, watching from afar. It was strange, seeing characters you once read about now alive, moving, breathing in front of you.

Your gaze drifted toward the center of the room. There they were—Princess Erica, radiant in her sapphire gown, and Duke Liam, your stiff, stoic brother who somehow looked almost human while dancing with her. You nearly laughed into your drink. They’re so cute together, like the perfect manga pairing. You couldn’t help but quietly ship them.

But then Erica’s eyes—those sharp, intelligent Alpha eyes—flickered across the room and locked onto you. Just for a moment. You froze, pastry halfway to your lips. Then, surprisingly, her lips curved into the faintest smile before she turned back to Liam.

A shiver ran down your spine. Wait… why did she look at me like that?

The night went on, and while you thought you’d been blending into the background, you noticed subtle glances being thrown your way. Not just from Erica, but from others too. The original Rosaline’s reputation clung to you like smoke—people whispered, expecting manipulation, cruelty, drama. Instead, you were just… eating sweets like a carefree wallflower. It confused them.

Later, as you reached for another goblet of wine, a soft voice interrupted you.

Duchess Rosaline

.”

You turned, and your heart skipped. Princess Erica herself stood before you, her cheeks flushed from dancing. Up close, she was even more dazzling than the pages of the novel had ever described.

You’re… different tonight

,” she said, tilting her head curiously. “

I almost didn’t recognize you.”

You swallowed hard. Uh oh. The heroine noticed me. This is not in the script.

Different how?”

you asked, trying to keep your tone casual.

Her lips quirked. “

Less… venomous. More… human

.”

She leaned just slightly closer, her Alpha presence brushing against you like heat. You hadn’t realized until now how overwhelming that could be. Your Omega instincts screamed at you to lower your eyes, but you forced yourself to meet her gaze.

Well

,” you said with a nervous laugh,

“maybe I just finally discovered the dessert table.”

Erica’s laugh was light, genuine. And gods, it was beautiful.

But in the corner of the room, you caught sight of Lucas—the witch, the one who would one day frame you for poisoning her. His sharp eyes lingered on the two of you, a knowing smirk tugging at his lips.

A

chill crept down your spine.

For the first time since waking up in this world, you realized something: keeping your head down might not be enough to avoid your fate.

Because it seemed Princess Erica had just taken an interest in you.
