Minor Yarns

Morgal was self employed. His was self employed because he had no respect for hierarchy and was terrible at doing anything anyone told him to do ever. He was alone, in his bed he slept, at his table he supped and in his house he lived... well. Living consists of a single length of time in which one is born to the point the point in which one dies... he wasn’t born, no mother dared breath life into him, nor would he die for didn’t have the patience for him.

So if your an immortal being with all the time in history to do anything and no friends the result is and life or more accurately an existence of being bored. So now at the tender age of ‘who knows what’ Morgal for the first time in his existence makes a change... to to understand why he does this you must understand what he actually does all day everyday forever going backwards.

To give you an idea of what his life entails this is a rough overview to his day to day routine. 5:00 wakes up eats, cleans teeth then dresses and goes to work. 6:00 work starts, the high way to hell opens and traffic is a nightmare.... again. Tortured souls getting boiled, skinned, impaled, cut up, branded, melted and shown their worst memory over and over again are jumping on top of there cars starting brawls with demons (or on occasion with their murders). So job one of the day is to open the job way for use and split up fights. They don’t mess with Morgal. After that insuring law and order which involves issuing speeding fines by increasing people’s sentences by between 1-5 millennia or in the case of demons who simply take the rout back to hell as a homeward journey. Morgal had decided instead of issuing fines he just sawed off one of there horns so their heads became lopsided until it grew back (there are some cases of demons have both their horns removed so he loops their tails off too) then traffic begins to become slower towards 12 o’clock so between 12 and 13 which is end the highway closes he moves on to road maintenance where he smooths out pot holes, arrange rides for demons and insuring someone responsible take any soul who were thrown out of their cars to be run over again and again until Morgal has to scrape them off the road with a shovel, the rest of the way to damnation. The high way closes at 13:00 turns out the devils number is unlucky for him too.

Then he has a brake until 3 which is when the stair way to heaven opens and he’s back to making cups of tea for angles along with cake and biscuits to the fortunate souls who were good little boys and girls in life. Traffic is ridiculously slow on the stairs because of course the welcome community to heaven insists upon slowing people’s assent through the use of handing out maps and leaflets on how the toilets work. Morgal hurries on everyone simply had n approach as angels and souls alike break up there beloved conversations. they don’t mess with Morgal. This as well as litter picking is what he does until 21:00 which is when the elderly start having a go to the assent on stairlifts go achingly slowly 2 at a time which in the mean time Morgal has to insure those you are waiting have a seat and their pills with warm milk and runs after their cats and fishes them out of clouds. This lasts until 24:00 which is when the stairway closes and those who haven’t must be settled down to bed in the dorms for a night a night until tomorrow.

This is when Morgal opens his door at about 1 o’clock. Eats, cleans his teeth, goes to he toilet and goes to bed....

It might sound fun at first but after something by it forever it gets a tad tedious...

So what was he going to do about it. ’Something... Something bold... and great...... somehow it would matter what he did. They DON’T mess with Morgal.
