Summary

Some stories are not written to convince — they are written to awaken. The story is a slow, introspective journey of faith, identity, doubt, and love set in the heart of modern London. Ria Tahrin Asfak is a young Muslim woman navigating university life far from home— her faith quietly in a world that often misunderstands it. She is not perfect, but she tries— every day to remain rooted while growing into herself. Christian Hale is a secular British man shaped by loss and disbelief. Once a believer, now distant from God, he moves through life confident on the outside and fractured within. London’s lights never filled the emptiness he carries— until he meets Ria. Ria’s faith challenges Christian not through debate, but presence. Her certainty shakes his disbelief more than any argument ever could. The story does not compare religions, nor does it attempt to preach. Instead, it explores human vulnerability— how grief can lead to distance from God, how belief can be tested in silence. Through friendships, misunderstandings, jealousy, inner conflicts, and moments of quiet connection, Daastan-e-Noor asks: What does it mean to stay true to yourself in a world that wants you to bend? And can love survive when belief stands between two hearts? This is not just romance. It is a story about becoming about holding onto light when the world feels loud, confusing, and unforgiving.

Author’s Note

Hey everyone, this is your writer, Fatima.

I hope you all are doing well.

Daastan-e-Noor is different from my other books — very different.

This story contains faith, pain, suffering, disbelief in God, and many other emotions.

This book is about the growth of a Muslim girl and a secular British guy.

This book is not written to teach, convince, debate, or compare religions. The beliefs, questions, and doubts shown in this story belong to the characters alone and reflect their personal journeys, not absolute truths.

The main objective of this book is not to start a war in the name of religion in the comment section, but to deliver a sincere and pious story.

Any conversations about religion are written to show human curiosity, vulnerability, and inner conflict — not to criticize or judge any belief system. If at any point a character questions, gets confused, or misunderstands something, it is part of their personal growth and not a statement about the faith itself.

So, if anyone feels uncomfortable or does not like the story, they are free to drop it midway. I am not forcing anyone to read this book.

And those who truly wish to stay and continue reading — you are most welcome on the journey of Ria Tahrin Asfak and Christian Hale.
