Chapter 1:Fortune telling based on changing circum
Outside, the sun was blazing, but that weather had nothing to do with the stifling atmosphere inside this room. I looked up at him, giving him a defiant smile: "What's the hurry? Don't I have an all-powerful butler ready to cook for me, Septimus?" Septimus frowned, still holding the pan he'd brought from the kitchen. He walked over to the dining table and, without any hesitation, pinched my cheek hard:
"How wonderful! Isn't it me who's worried about someone's stomach rumbling from night till morning?" Already incredibly lazy, and yet still making such illogical arguments! Despite all the grumbling, Septimus still had to trudge back to the kitchen, continuing to cook breakfast for this powerful but ridiculously lazy young master like me. I smirked, smugly watching his back, deliberately drawing out my words teasingly:
— Oh dear, isn't that the duty of a butler? Septimus, standing by the stove flipping eggs, could only sigh helplessly at my ingrained laziness.
Actually, Septimus isn't my real butler. But because we're so incredibly close, I boldly call this all-powerful best friend my "unpaid butler." Thinking about this, I felt even more smug, resting my chin on my hand and muttering: — I don't know what's going to happen next, how annoying. I had to do a self-fortune telling based on countless factors, from algorithms, my birth date, to my surroundings... and so on and so forth. The fortune telling came down to a big event, but it didn't specify what it was. Or... are you planning to poison me, Septimus? Just then, Septimus arrived, placing a plate of fragrant fried rice with scrambled eggs, overflowing with squid and meat, on the table. He frowned, looking at me with a speechless expression: — How interesting! First you called me your butler, now you're trying to provoke me? Why would I poison this lazy young master? I boldly and shamelessly replied with a single word: — Money! Septimus helplessly pulled up a chair opposite me, rubbing his temples to control his rising blood pressure: — Who's been feeding the young master? Who's been cooking for him all this time? I scooped a spoonful of rice into my mouth, grinning mischievously as I replied: — Who knows? Maybe you're secretly plotting against me, or just greedy for more wealth? — Bang! Septimus gave me a sharp tap on the head, then grumbled: — Just eat, it's not poisoned!
