Herbert West is a brilliant medical genius who seemed reserved and calm though he doesn’t seem to have a heart and he is blunt and obsessive. Though he seems troubled not just with death but he had a traumatic childhood from the loss of his mother, his drunk father beating him as a child though he seemed to excel in school. He never has room for love or affection. That was until he meets Ranoldie, a French American medical student who would prove to be difficult and fascinating. He has a degree in forensic science and he is a medical doctor. He is kind of mad!
Ranoldie is a first year medical student who is in love with Herbert West, her mentor. She is stubborn when it comes to what she wants and desires in love which would be to spend the night with him. She is seductive and intelligent too. She has her own traumatic past with losing her family in a terrorist attack and she vowed to help find a cure for death. She is creative and reserved too. She is a home body that is until he says that she is beautiful and graceful like a ballerina. Ranoldie has an interested in forensics as well as medical science, though she remembers her childhood as rough and that would be putting politely. She is not into politics nor religion. She will use her feminine qualities to win over Herbert.
