What is your opinion?

"Dead or Alive"

"Amazing story of untold secrets of the Dream World. These secrets were the Key to unlock reality with Dreams that cannot come true, but sometimes do. Abstract thinking, believing in a new life is the dream all who age, wish to carry into the world of reality. Being Dead, or Alive is the question of Jon, and those that carried his body to the Coroners operating table . This is the point where life and Death become reversed, and the abstract moment of Death becomes life. Within three milliseconds after Death, the Brain continues functioning, then dies, along with the body. This story is that of the last seconds left in the brain, and what is seen, what is told, what is or is not, Abstract. It is now up to the reader to interpret the meaning of this story, and what is real, the schizoid friends, the Undertaker, his Shadows and of course, the Crypt at the end.............A story for all to read and some to experience the reality of the World of Dreams......and more................."

VERY interesting!

"This is a very interesting story, and it's told in a very engaging way. I think many reviewers misunderstood the story itself with its dream-like, almost surreal elements. I won't say I understood all its layers, but I enjoyed it tremendously. The author says things in a very original way, rolls images with mastery, I felt like I was there and saw everything with my own eyes. It's a very satisfying read with poignant beginning, unexpected events and, again, satisfying ending. And the storytelling is superb. I highly recommend this book."

Unique Plot

"This story is about an Old man wanting to go back to his youth and live his life to the fullest.. He dreams everyday and one day his dream of becoming a youth comes true. What happens next? It is time to face the consequences for his actions. It's something different from what I have read and I really enjoyed the book. The emotions were really good, I was able to feel his pain, struggle. His need to get rid of the pain and the consequences made it all the more realistic. Keep up the good work!!!!"

I loved the opening chapter

""Then, my dreams open" A line that caught me off guard. I feel that his entrance to the dream is abrupt like did he sleep? did he get a heart attack like there is no explanation given. I hope my feedback will help you. Apart from this I am really liking your story will get back to you. I am still reading it."

Fascinating!

"A breath of fresh air. Brilliant style. Unique plot layout. The choice of themes is among the most engaging I have come across lately. They give life to man's most important yearnings and longings, including that of transhumanism- an overriding, innate humanly quest. Man wants to be a free soul capable of much more than is within his reach presently, and the author brings it out well in "Dead or Alive", an unrivaled word craft. This is great, William, impressive plot twists and an overall engaging story that captures and captivates the reader all through. A little more polishing of the grammar and few beta-reads and this would be a winning story. You're poised for great heights William! Hope you never stop writing, man wants to read stories like these. Best wishes! Tom"

A trippy and enjoyable read!

"Dead or Alive is totally different to anything I could ever have imagined to write. The story gripped me in a way that I didn't envisage and I found myself fascinated. The plot twists and turns were unexpected and kept me wanting to know where everything was heading. I was surprised and delighted at the mid point and when the ending was revealed, I truly liked (all) of the characters. Overall, I was very satisfied and would highly recommend this read. William - If I may be so bold: The only change I would make to your story is to reshape chapter one, to the extent of replacing it with one or two paragraphs at the start of what is chapter 2, then converting that into chapter one. I put three stars at the beginning, but if this had been achieved, it would have been 5,"

"I thoroughly enjoyed reading 'Dead or Alive'. The age factor comes into strong play here. The author has described old age, sickness, physical and health problems relating to age perfectly. The story plot is intriguing and the writing style is impeccable. It's a fantastically woven story and i'd recommend it to all readers. Thanks for the excellent piece of work. Good Luck."

Dead of Alive

"Interesting. A very through provoking story.- I have often thought I would prefer to live in my dreams. Dreams can seem very real in the moment, and much more attractive than real life. Being immortal, having power to do whatever you want - all things that a lot of people would love to experience. Thanks for sharing."

Intriguing Storyline

"Conceptually, the framework of Dead or Alive is brilliant. Dream states altering reality makes for a fun read. The plot moves along at a good pace and though the author's writing style isn't my favorite - some things I found to be redundant - I'm not distracted from being drawn into the world created here. I can see this book being polished, and popular."

A unique story from a unique perspective

"I've read some of the other reviews, and I would like to reiterate with them: this is a very unique story. The protagonist is not someone that's typically a protagonist (a much, much older man), and the plot is very different from typical romantic fantasy novels. The one thing that's getting in the way is grammar. It's not so much sentence structure as it is capitalization. I've noticed that you sometimes capitalize the pronoun/noun at the end of a ," dialogue. For example (not taken from the novel): "This is really good," He said. The H in he is supposed to be lower cased in this situation. It's not a consistent error though. Sometimes it's correct, and sometimes it's been capitalized incorrectly again. I think that's the biggest thing you'll need to watch out for here."

Stephen King's Insomnia meets pan's labyrinth

"Weirder and weirder, curiouser and curiouser. The story takes off unapologetically, drawing you into a world where life and death are a blurry mix - Is Jon dead or alive? I can't tell, I want to know, and that keeps me turning the pages. Your mastery of story telling is undeniable."

Intriguing

"What I love about your story is that it actually makes the readers think about their own life as Jon goes on with his (and goes back) and I think that is truly amazing. This book really has potentials and I like how it also adds on to the fantasy genre. Good work :)"
