Bind to her poison

All of my life, people have ran from me. They yell and they scream, fear of turning to stone. Anytime i want to chat with a friend in real life, they shrivel out of sight or they turn to stone. I’ve lived in seclusion most of my life, though not until I met Meredith. Meredith has the flowiest soft brown hair, freckles fleck throughout her soft, pale skin, her eyes an icey grey, her clothing never matches, because see, she is blind. she cannot see my horrible flaws, she cannot turn to stone.

She loves me for my arms and my legs and my face and my neck and she fumbles her hands around my wrists and to my fingertips till her hand laces into mine and her warm soft hands embrace mine of cold.

She fumbled her hands to the alarm clock next to the bed. She rose from the bed with clumsy grace.

“Meddy? Can you help me?” She spoke, her raspy morning voice calling me from 3 feet away, as her voice searched for a being to help her.

“Yes, my love.” I called back, rising from my position.

I got up and out of the bed and walked around the perimeter, to her hands in an outreach. My height in comparison toppled over her, ur hands clumsily intertwined, she rose and we walked to the door. Walking to to the hall, I led her to the breakfast bar in the kitchen.

I put two peices of bread into the toaster and poured some cereal for myself. When the toast jumped from the toaster, she jumped in her seat. I spread a thin layer of honey over the bread and set the plate infront of her.

I leaned up against the counter, spooning the milky mush into my mouth. The cereal tasted horrid, but it’s what Meredeth chose when I gave her the option to choose, and I stayed true to her choice.

She led the toast to her mouth, crunching the charred bread and sweet syrup.

“This is so good, thank you.” She talked with her mouth full of sweet bread.

As we finished our food, the sun now sat high up above the mountains, the sky painted a soft, cool blue with rosey clouds dusted throughout the sky. Sunlight poured through the windows in flooding in beams. Hissing emitted from my head as I put a hat over the snakes that so many feared.

“Marry?”

“Yeah?”

“I need to head to work,” I spoke, bringing her cane towards where her chair sat. “your cane is right here. I’ll be back at around twelve on my lunch break. I love you.”

“I love you too.” She spoke, rising the last of her toast to her mouth.
