What is your opinion?

Cur: Blood and Soil

"Fantastic! - that's the only word I'm left with, at the moment. I loved the way you began this story. The first paragraph caught my attention, more than the cover and the summary. Although, I was slightly confused with the races of the characters (who is what), but I'm sure this would be sorted out in the upcoming chapters. So far, the only problem I find is with grammar and punctuation. There are a lot of commas and such missing. But, you can add them while editing, no sweat. All the best with your story! P.S. I wanted to read more than one chapter for reviewing, which was why I was insisting on the other book. Just letting you know. :)"

This can’t be the end..

"Interesting, but completely confusing!! There were the Nemedians, then came the bad guys the Fomori. The Nemedians ran…some became the Tuatha de Dannan (beautiful and with magic). Their King was N… Some were enslaved and became the Firbolg (humas, but with incredible strength).Their king was E… At some point both Tuatha and Firbolg came back to the Nemedian lands…the 2 kings battled. The Firbolg king was defeated (but not killed) and they were given a provence by the Tuatha king (who won the battle, but lost his hand..therefore the right to rule) …Therefore BRES became the king of the Tuatha. The Firbolg then retreated to a province and lived there until a plague came and wiped them out. DID I GET THIS RIGTH? Present day… Kur is a one handed something, the last of the Firbolg? (If so…Then who is the King and the army that was whipped out in the battle on the beach??) Who or what is the blue mist guy?? A fomori? What’s Birog story..before stealing the sword? Did I miss anything major?? And if the former Tuatha king is now dead, Bres is no longer beautiful (ergo no longer fit to rule) does this make Kur the new Tuatha king? So far, between KUR and BIROG ..there was zero chemistry. Are they meant to be together by the end? It’s gonna be hard for me to “buy it”…but let’s see what comes. Who the hell else is there to come?? The most evil of "

Nice

"I like where your story Is going. I like the description of your world. There were few grammar errors but who doesn't have them? All the same great piece you have there. I'd love to read it anytime it comes out."

So Far So Good

"Despite being gripped with hesitation before reading your story (I tend to stick to more mild things like romances), I actually found your story quite interesting! The complexity of your world was extremely impressive and I can tell that you spent a lot of time to craft it. There were a considerable amount of grammar errors throughout your story, but thankfully it wasn't so bad I wasn't able to understand your plot, which was amazing. I thought it was fun how you made humans the rarities and not the elves and the dwarves. The part where Cur hurt the old man was painful for me, seeing that I have a weak spot for the elderly, which is good because that means your writing really got to me. I look forward to finding out more about this world of yours and how things will play out. So far so good!"

I'm liking this!

"Although I've only read one chapter, i'm really lIking this story. I like the overall plot so far, and when i have some spare time, I'm sure I'll be reading further into the story. The only real critique I would have is that the grammar and punctuation needs to be revised, as there are some spellIng mistakes and grammatIcal errors. All In all, a good read so far :) "

Some issues but intriguing

"I've only read the first chapter. There were some grammatical problems. Who was the view-point character? If it was the girl or another local, she or he should have known the names of the old man, little girl etc. None of them are named. It didn't really sound as if Cur was the view-point character either. Seemed to be giving backstory, when the old man spoke of their history but then Cur claimed it wasn't true. Cur seemed overly brutal but perhaps there are reasons for this. I don't think he's a very likeable character, perhaps he gets redeemed or this is understandable if know his, probably horrific story. Is he the villain or the hero or neither? Then the villagers didn't seem very nice either. Not at all sure where this is going. Not sure if I'll read any more but I am a bit intrigued."

Review of first chapter

"The writing needs more focus. I loved the blurb, though, so the next chapters should be interesting. It was hard to get into the story also because of the grammatical errors. For example, it is "coat of arms" instead of "cote of arms." Periods also belong inside quotation marks. More commas and periods are needed throughout the text and the chapter is riddled with sentence fragments. However, there's a story here. Keep writing!"
