Box

People will often tell you in life

That there is a box

That box usually involves

Money, jobs, family, bills, etc.

But one thing a child doesn't understand

Is the metaphor

The box isn't real

It's just simplified, a place for everything

But since the child doesn't understand the metaphor

The box doesn't exist

That's what makes thinking "outside" the box

So easy for children

If only we kept this premise as we got older

But we are told over and over

The box exists

Yet, nobody can ever seem to find the box

Or proof of the box either

It's a mental block that we have created

To limit ourselves

It's why some of us never reach our potential

We go to our nine to five jobs or whatever hours we work

And we often stay there

Not moving up or down really

Just fixed in place

But a child moves because it has freedom

They can move up and down and left and right

Without much thought

Again
