Since when is glitter deadly?
"Hey Alexis! I'm on my way to the party but
I'm gonna be early." I began into the phone.
"Christopher is gonna love the gift I got
him!" I continued."Girl, what did you get
him?" Alexis questioned. "Alex, I can't tell
you! I know you can't keep a secret!" I
exclaimed as she turned on my blinker on
top of the dirt road. A yellow cat was
dashing across the dirt. I slammed on the
brakes, causing a unpleasant noise. The cat's
shadow stretched over the rocky turf, and
then it didn't. The cat and the shadow were
suddenly gone. I swung open the door as
Alexis questioned me through the phone on
speaker in my pocket. "Hey what happened
Kitara?" I slammed the door shut and
jogged toward the place I last saw the
blonde cat. When I reached my destination I
noticed some golden glitter suspended
above the the soil. I placed my hand on the
ground as I squated to investigate. I felt a
tugging on my hand and began to resist.
However, the unknown force was much
stronger than I. " Alexis, help!" I shouted.
"Witth what girl, in stuck down in Florida,
like a million miles away from you! Your up
in Alaska, if you didnt forget. How could I
help you?" Of course she had to be logical.
"MY HAND IS BEING EATEN BY GOLDEN
GLITTER!" I screamed at the top of my
lungs. "Girl, what happened?" Alexis asked
me. "I saw this cat vanish and then I went to
investigate and I saw golden glitter and my
hand is being pulled into the road!" By now
I was sunk in to the shoulder like I stuck my
arm in when the road was muddy. "Oh no,
not already." I heard her mutter. "WHATS
GOING ON ALEX!?" I screamed, now
knowing she knew something I didn't.
"Look, just don't panic. I don't have time to
explain but whatever you do don't trust h-"
my head was submerged into the concrete. I
saw a tunnel of swirling colors. Water, fire,
air, and earth colors had separated into
spirals that twisted together on the walls
and slowly rotated around the room.
Directly below me was a gray cliff covered
in spikey rocks. The rest of my body was
slowly following me and I didnt want to
plummet to my death. I tried shoving my
other arm back up but the rest of the dirt
was solid. My other arm was released and I
was hanging by my waist. I searched for a
way to save myself from certain death but I
couldn't find a solution. I was hanging by
my feet when I heard a whimper next to me.
The blue heeler I had gotten for Christopher
had jumped out of my rolled down window
and followed me. He must have gotten
sucked in, too! He was suspended by the
waist. I hugged him to the best of my
abilities but failed. I felt the last of my feet
slipped and silently said my goodbyes.
Goodbye world. Bye Alex and Chris. By
Asher, you cute little cat. I would die by
myself, as would Percy (that's the dog). I
spread open my arms, prepared to accept
my crazy fate, when a sudden pain spread
through my foot. Percy had bit my leg in
attempt to save me. But soon he fell and
removed his teeth and the pain in my foot
increased. I pulled Percy into a hug and
witnessed even more magic. Percy slowly
shifted into a preteen with glittery, silver
hair styled at a crew cut. He gave a small
smile. "Hi...." He- it- I dont know- spoke in a
quiet voice as we fell. "Um...Percy?" I
started. "Um, actually, my name is-" he
began," I DONT CARE WE ARE GONNA DIE!"
I blurted. "Um, actually, only you. I'm a fae.
Your a human." He separated from me but
didn't fall; he floated. But I fell. Then there
was an intense pain in my back that rivaled
that in my foot. The rocks were near when I
sneezed. I heard a strange sound and
instinctively I tensed the muscles in my
shoulder. My plummeting slowed. I started
flailing my arms and I felt whatever was on
my back totaly rip the back of my short
halter top as they began to flutter. I looked
up and saw the end of leathery, black, bat
wings. They were only partially extended
and covered in a layer of blood. I tried to
open them more but failed. Then I sneezed
again. They fully opened and I then had
control over them. I flapped them
repeatedly in hope of somehow flying.
Instead, I only slowed down. The impact still
hurt, just not as much as the first two
incidents. I lifted my head and pointed my
gray eyes at a sight before my eyes. My
vision was slightly blocked by my long, red
hair. I saw the same yellow cat shifting in
front of her. The blonde cat was now a boy
that looked 16 with chocolate eyes and
blonde hair. The fear had blocked out the
pain, but now I felt the blood loss as I felt
safe in the presence of the boy. My vision
faded as the boy-cat-thing rushed toward
me.
