It has been quite some time since I last updated this story, and I apologize to my readers and those who have asked about updates. Thank you to those still interested in my story! :) For a while, I wasn't too happy with where the story was going and struggled with a severe lack of motivation and inspiration. Mental health hasn’t been the best, but pulling through <3
Alas, for those of you who are new and old readers of this story, I am finally back with My Destined :) I wanted to let y’all know there are some changes to this story, so you may want to start from the beginning with the new information! :) I just wanted to tweak some things (including some characters) to fit better what I want from this story and to take into account some constructive feedback I have received. I changed the summary a little, too, if ya didn’t notice ;)

Story Details
The Choosing Ceremony
The Choosing Ceremony is a two-day ceremonial event observed each year by the pack's Elders. The Choosing Ceremony is hosted by a different pack each year, with surrounding packs joining. This also serves as a time for packs to maintain good relationships with each other. The Alphas, Lunas, and Betas meet before the Choosing Ceremony to discuss pack lines, pack rules, and any dangers that need discussion. Attendance at the Choosing Ceremony starts at 20 years old, so the Deltas of the packs (if not needing a mate) tend to stay back at the pack to watch over those who have already found their mates or are not old enough to find a mate. Only some people find a mate for the first time and have until they are 26 to attend the ceremony; if no mate is found, the pack elders will assign one, or they can find a chosen one to have as their mate. This is to ensure the continuation of the bloodline, especially with Alphas. Of course, not all mates are “typical” male/female, as everything is up to the Moon Goddess, who knows all. However, the Elders keep this old tradition to ensure the continuation of the bloodlines.
The Choosing Ceremony begins with the packs meeting, with the females on stage for the males to find and meet their mates. The Alphas are announced first, and they come up to greet them; then it goes down the line. This is typically where the wolves can identify and meet their mates. Following this, the ball is for the young wolves to co-mingle with other packs and their mates (or possibly Chosen).
The Running
The second day will be the Running, which acts as a game for the young wolves. All lower-ranked wolves get a two-minute head start to run to the end line through the forest. Depending on the situation, the higher-ranked wolves will chase after whom they want, either their mate or their chosen. If tagged, they generally must meet with the Elders to show their marks reacting to one another (which means they are mates), and then the Elders will initiate their mate bond. If it is a Chosen, the Elders will confirm their eligibility, and then they can create the bond. The Chosen Bond is not as strong as the Mate Bond, but the wolves have similar feelings/reactions once initiated. On this day, wolves may leave their home packs to move to their mates’ packs and say goodbye to their families.
Mates
The Moon Goddess ultimately brings together two wolves as soulmates. Once a werewolf comes of age at 20, they receive a mark somewhere on their body - a tattoo in the shape of a moon that changes with the natural phases. This mark reacts solely to the destined mate by glowing and creating a burning sensation. It burns more the closer two mates become and aches when they are apart. Once two mates mark each other with a bite on the neck, they are officially claimed, and their minds and feelings are linked. The mating process is fully completed once they have claimed each other and mated.
Although uncommon, not every wolf finds their destined mate and may have to choose another or be arranged to mate with another by the pack Elders. There is also the possibility of rejecting a mate, which tends to be extremely painful to both parties physically and emotionally. If one loses their mate, there is also a chance of the Moon Goddess matching them with another mate.
Main Packs & Pack-Owned Companies
A/N: So I thought about how each pack can be ‘stable & wealthy’ and how they can be integrated into the real world - So, each pack has a company/corporation that the Alpha family runs, where most pack members can work. Everyone is homeschooled by selected ‘teachers’ and Elders in the pack until they are 20. Once they turn 15, they begin training based on their rank and future positions. Everyone has a role in the pack, whether a soldier/guard, pack mother, pack doctor, pack teacher, or any other role within the pack-owned company.
Shadowed Raven Pack - Alpha is Adriel Hutton, Beta is Bennett Hutton, and Delta is Nico Smith. The Hutton family owns a large clinic, Hutton Clinic, in the neighboring town where Adriel’s father, Alexander, runs as the director. Many pack members are staffed as doctors and nurses at the clinic, and there are also town residents on staff.
Crescent Sky Pack - Alpha is Wade Grant (soon to be Marco Grant), Luna is Teresa Grant, Beta is Lance Oliveira, and Delta is Hiro Cheung. The Grant family owns a 5-star restaurant, Hibiscus, and a Starlight club in the neighboring town where Marco is learning to become CEO. Many pack members are staffed as chefs, cooks, waiters/waitresses, bussers, bartenders, attendants, and bouncers in the restaurant, and bartenders, attendants, and bouncers in the club. There are also people from the town on staff.
Moonstone Snow Pack - Alpha is Cael Stern, Beta is Santiago Morales, and Delta is Mina Carlson. The Stern family owns Moonstone Resort, a hotel/resort in the neighboring town where Cael is learning to become CEO. Many pack members are staffed as attendants, chefs, maintenance crew, and customer service members at the resort; there are also people from the town on staff.
Silver Moon Pack - Alpha is Milah Rivers, Luna is Holly Rivers (Davis), Beta is Daryn Rivers (Milah’s twin brother), and Delta is Clovis Villin. The Rivers family owns a hotel/resort/spa, Rivers Resort & Spa, in the neighboring town, where Milah is the CEO, and Daryn is her right-hand. Many pack members are staffed as attendants, chefs, maintenance crew, and customer service members at the resort; there are also people from the town on staff.

There’s such quiet brilliance here. You don’t just tell a story, you let it breathe. Every emotion sits just under the surface, waiting to be seen. I could instantly imagine this as a visual piece, the light, the framing, the tone, it’s all right there, waiting for the screen.
