What is your opinion?

DEAR BULLY DEAR VICTIM

"That was a whirlwind of mixed emotions. Alex and Chloe at first go through so much trouble. Alex was wrong with what he and his friends did to Chloe but they were happy in the end. The author's writing style and writing skills makes this feel real, like if you are part of it. So many emotions were felt in those letter chapters. I can't say how many times I did cry to this story but I know it was a lot. It's hard getting people to feel something other than content when reading and this was a better one of those stories. I'm going to say great work. Because it was indeed that...great."

"The plot is quite interesting and easy going. Your style reminds me of Lady Susan by Jane Austen . One of my favourite classic writers.. The unique romance idea adds just the beauty of the book. I so love it....😍😍😘🥰😊"

Dear Bully, Dear Victim (By Rose Black)

"So, first of all I want to say that the idea behind the story was really good. I loved the idea of both the bully and the victim writing letters that eventually get exchanged. It's meaningful and it makes me relate to it more because in my head, I write little letters to the people in my own life. That said, I was a little confused by some of the parts of the book. The victim, Chloe, loves the boy who bullies her. While trying not to spoil anything, it brings me to wonder what Chloe's view on love is. Her family situation is severely lacking and in the end you see how twisted it is, but overall, I wished there was some more description. Although, I was impressed by how, without explaining things outright, the chosen words in the letters made them feel read and gave them an undercurrent of feeling. Even though you weren't given a front row seat, if you're looking for feeling, it's there. Understandably, it's hard to describe things in letter form without sounding like you're droning on and I'm certainly not asking Rose Black to change her whole story, but there are a few things that could be improved in future stories. If I'm critiquing the letters, I don't even know what I would say because the letters themselves were spectacular. I loved them even though the topic was alarming. One last note is the fact that the epilogue is written in point of view rather than in letter form. It's really hard to jump from one to another like that, so adding some point of views to Alex's and Chloe's letters (like how they felt as they wrote them) would help bridge the gap. All in all, it was a good story. I'd recommend it to people who need things to relate to or want to feel something. I would say that anyone who is sensitive to bullying and depression should NOT read this book because that's basically the focal point."

Good

"I don't know what to say, really. I have been abused and bullied before so it's somewhat triggering for me. I just don't understand something. Why does he write love , alex at the end of each letter when he hates her so much? (Edit: i think i get it now lol) It's a good book , and i like it."

Review :)

"Okay, so, this book consisted of some pretty serious topics. Thankfully, you captured Chloe’s emotions extremely well! However, I believe Alex and his friend’s sudden realisation of ‘Oh, whOops, I didn’t know we were hurting her feelings with weapons’ came over too fast? Like, they should be gradually come to that conclusion? Either way, it was a quick read and not too bad! I also saw that you wrote thus when you were 12, which is majorly impressive because I, pretty sure at 12 I wrote a story about, like, the most cliched stuff ever? Anyways, thus is pretty cool :3"

SAD!!

"The writing makes you cry, a bit dark, a bit twisted. From the very beginning, I knew where this was going. So, I'd say it was majorly predictable? I love how the story is just a few exchange of letters, or more like notes, since letters need addresses and they obviously are oblivious to the fact that they literally live next doors to each other. I wonder why she fell in love with him, was he nice to her at the beginning, was it something he did? He sounds like the basic cliché bully, we haven't gotten much character description or anything like that, so it's hard to say what they exactly look like. I couldn't picture them together, not even in the end. It sounds toxic and unhealthy, especially since people just don't change their ways so easily. But I feel like the author must have just wanted to get the emotions and vague idea of the romance and pain across. which was done pretty well. Emotions were conveyed and I felt my heart pang every time she'd get hurt or whenever she'd have those insecure, toxic thoughts, especially since we've all experienced some level of similar experience growing up. I'd say that you could have created a better atmosphere and made Alex more redeemable in the end. Chloe really sold herself short in the end, accepting him with all his past abuse and all...also, it would have been nice if you focused a bit more on her getting healthier. Just to show the reader that light exists at the end of the tunnel? She can become healthy even without Alex falling in love with her. But overall, it was nicely done. I feel like it was written for the fun and expression of it, there is plenty of space for development, but it really did make me feel! Well done!"
