I’m Done With The Time Trilogy 🎉!!!
"As usual, Gwen never disappoints! The second book of the Time Trilogy follows Wahya while on the run from a group of murderous warriors known as the... you know what, nevermind. Anyway, so after suicid — I mean jumping off a plateau — or whatever that was, boom! He ends up not in heaven, but the complete opposite! The 21st century, also known as free-plan Hell. Parallel to Wahya’s traumatic experiences and all that, we get to Morgan. Archaeologist. Wonder why Gwen keeps bringing them up 😏. So yeah, while she’s walking across the street, she ends up colliding smack-dap into a random Cherokee man falling out of the sky. That’s currently where I’m at, so I only managed to see their first interaction. However, it tells me all I need to know about their relationship. It’s gonna be lovely 🥰. Based on what I read so far, it’s another success from Gwen’s side, and just like that, I reviewed all Time Trilogy books! Yay! Well done, me 🥳!"

"This is the second time I've read this story, the first being on a different app a few years ago. It's just as captivating as I remember. As someone who's severely dyslexic, it's rare that I find stories that I find worth the effort to read them. "

"Touch me over a year to read the first books of Time trilogy book 2. I spent 8 months getting back to knowing I left the brave in he middle. I was on a coma and died a couple time but when I came out of it I cold remember I was reading it and enjoyed it very much. Laying in a bed trying to get my legs to work again I am now ready for the time traveler. Thank so much for your work."

The Artifact
"This is the second book in the trilogy. The first one covers a female going into the past and rescues another time traveller who got trapped in the past. In the second book, a Native American Indian is flung into the future whilst escaping from other Natives from a different tribe, who are trying to kill him. How he copes in the future, without being able to communicate in Tsalagi or Cherokee with the future English speaking Natives is the subject of the book. Along the way we learn some Tsalagi words as they overcome the language barrier by using gestures, picture drawing, photos and later an interpreter. The author covers diverse topics from time travel tied to a gorget, archeology, explaining modern world items, friendship, love and lots of other things. Well done Author, a thoroughly enjoyable read which is thought provoking, not to mention gets rather hot in places and tugs at the heart strings. Wado (means Thank You)"

"TAGS: Full Review, No Review Swap OVERALL: When the natives and locals mix, this story is boy meets girl. Boy from the past falls for a gal from his future. PROS: The story is well written, easy enough for me to follow. Lots of different sets and scenery for changes of location. Has a few spicy scenes for your romance needs. Character development is done well and the characters are likable. CONS: Nothing I can place off hand. ENDNOTES: Traveling through time has never been so entertaining and educational. You get to learn some Cherokee words. The author shows growth and putting together the endings compared to the first book in the series."

"I loved reading this story! Just as context, I love shows like Outlander or literally anything that uses time travel in a unique way, and so right from the beginning, I was hooked! I really like that we started in the past before getting to know Morgan. It was cool to get acquainted with this unfamiliar world that Wahya is a part of before transitioning to modern day. I can’t explain why I liked that so much, but it just really invested me in the story. Plot is moving along at a great pace, not too fast, not too slow. Just right. I like that we had a chance to get to know Morgan and Wahya as individuals before they collided – literally. They have a great connection already – I see that chemistry! – and overall their interactions so far are very sweet and really get me invested in their relationship and eventual romance. I noticed almost no grammar mishaps, so massive props to you for that! Your style was nice too. It clips along and is easy to read. A little telling, but nothing some edits can’t fix. Overall, I really, really enjoyed this story. Time travel is nothing new, but the way you use it is fabulous. It sort of reminded me of what would happen if Outlander had been the other way around, with Jamie coming to the future instead of Claire going to the past (I realize these references are kind of niche, but you catch my drift) but your story is still completely different and original and a great use of time travel. ALSO! I loved your use of Native language in this. That added such a great level of detail and immersion and you integrated it well! Overall, fantastic job!!"
The Artifact
"The Artifact is Gwen's second book, and I have to say I really enjoyed it. Life is hectic, and I found it so relaxing to follow Wahya and Morgan's story between work, family, and partnership over the last few days. In this story, Gwen stays true to the adventure and love genre and manages to balance the themes of friendship, happiness, love and responsibility, just as she did in the first part of the trilogy. Without giving too much away, I understand the text as Gwen's attempt to express her understanding of our world. With questions of ethics and morality, the story sheds light on the injustices committed by the colonists and the "white man" against the indigenous people. Morgan and Wahya's relationship thus also becomes a symbol of bridge-building. That also is why I find the end of the story necessary and the only right decision from a narrative point of view. Anything else would be unreal, wouldn't feel right. As always, Gwen demonstrates a knack for the technical aspects (just FYI, Inkitt is a beast and messed up a few paragraphs), and as an archaeologist herself, researching the Tsalagi must have been a lot of fun. I really could sympathise with the main characters Wahya and Morgan, and I was pleased to meet Samantha and James again from the first book. Besides this, another character has been introduced who will play a significant role in the third part (or first part, depending on how you look at it): The Time Traveler - and I have to say, I'm really looking forward to meeting him and getting to know his story. I deduct one star because I found some passages a bit long-winded, and I wasn't sure how they contributed to the plot. But I know Gwen, and I know she is always willing to work on her writing style and improve her storytelling. Also, I enjoyed the last third of the story so much that I'm now sitting here, writing my review with a brutal book hangover. Lol. Please, Gwen, take that as a compliment :-) I'm definitely looking forward to more stories from you, my friend!"

So much more than expected
"Second in the series and while it can be read as a stand alone I would highly recommend reading in order just for clarity. I was enthralled by this story from the beginning. The inclusion of Cherokee language and customs was fabulous and educational. Once again the author weaves a story with such depth you can almost smell the dirt. Characters have more layers than a wedding cake and it’s extremely easy to become emotionally invested in them. Although the main characters did not get the ending I thought they would they did get an ending that was what was needed. I cannot wait to see what happens next! Definitely will be reading book 3 !"
Sometimes Love Is Not Enough
"I was a little heartbroken when both reach to a quite conclusion in their relationship which is painful than a messy breakup. I'm a sucker for happy endings so I was hoping there's more of Morgan and Randy at the ending, it's a bitter pill to swallow coz for me the plot point is forever left hanging but nevertheless your creations are truly amazing."

A Warm And Cozy Romance
"Gwen is at it again with a very sweet, happy romance that will make you feel better, especially if you absolutely love charming novels with happy endings. The Artifact is the sequel in her trilogy about time traveling romances. Not only is it a lovely light read, it also contains information about archeology and the Cherokee language and history. The book is full of cute, funny moments; spicy, hot sensuality; heart melting love scenes; and precious sentimentalities. I like authors who are true to their craft and actually write what they want to write about, and Gwen does that. She loves writing uplifting stories with happy endings, and I admire her for that. If you are searching for a literary romantic escape, look no further. The Artifact will satiate all your amorous desires. "
Very touching
"Time travel premise is not easy to write because the plot ending may not be in line with the readers' expectations. The author managed to give this story a compromising happy ending. I am not keen with the ending, but understand that it has to be done that way to be realistic. The book is quite educational in an entertaining way. We learned native Cherokee vocabularies along the way. The author is very good at delivering a poignant mature love story, where both main characters do not understand each other's languages. The story flows naturally inspite language barrier between the main characters."
Building up to be something good
"The writing is clean, free of grammatical errors, and enjoyable. The story starts out very well. The story is tagged adventure/romance and both have come through by the tenth chapter. However, the stakes aren't yet clear. The characters are relatable, enjoyable and believable! I wonder where the plot will go from here."
THE ARTIFACT
"I loved this story. I enjoyed how it started off first in both Wahya and Morgan's original worlds and time and then from running for his life he crash lands on Morgan, in the future. Her response to him was enjoyable to read, as was his reaction to the time jump and his 'artifact'. I would say it was quite endearing how they're able to trust each other without understanding what the other was saying. I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed Wahya's POV. The author does a great job of building the characters and their interests through switching between their POV. I'm curious about how they'll make things work, and why Wahya jumped to 2023. We understand how both parties came to be in possession of the gorget, but why Wahya? Why jump then? What are the stakes? I'm eager to learn those as their slow budding romance forms."

"It was nice seeing James and Samantha's alternate universe life and getting to know Morgan and Wahya. The cultural and historical aspects of the Cherokee felt very real (although I don't know a lot about the culture, so it's not like I'm one to say!). It was obvious a lot of thought and research went into this which is always nice to see, especially when it comes to diversity 💖"
