Preserved in Ink

"It's still at the beginning, but I've already come to like the main character. The mc at least appears to be full of depth which never hurts, and it increases my interest in this story. The plot of the story has much potential but is hard to say so early on in the novel. The writing style was unique and clear, but poetic and dramatic and adds to the overall intrigue of the story. If there is anything that really stood out to me, it's how perfect the grammar and technical writing skills seem to be. I found it amazing how I couldn't point out any flaws in the technical skills and I find it impressive the author was able to write in the present tense and stick to it too. Most authors I know of write in the past tense, and when they try to write in the present tense, they tend to switch between past and present. Overall it's the beginnings of what seems to be a great story and I look forward to more updates."

Captivating!

"It's only at 2 chapters so far, but I'm already hooked!! I love how the author wove details and emotions so seamlessly into her writing and even had a poetic touch. The characters were enjoyable. I found Amelia very relatable and her thoughts humorous and realistic. I loved the distinctness of the characters and the realistic exchanges between them. The grammar and technical skills were amazing, I have no complaints there. The writing style was spellbinding, it was a bit like reading a fairy tale and I found that interesting and unique about this novel. Overall, I loved this story and I can't wait for updates!"

Very Interesting!

"I read this book very carefully, and I took time to read it. I love this book already, and I have many questions on my mind. Will she give Anike the letter? What will happen afterwards? Why is she not close with her own mother? It’s very interesting. Moreover, your vocabulary and spelling are great. I enjoyed reading your book, and I love giving out my honest opinions on them to also help my fellow authors! Keep up the good work!!"

A Detailed and Impressive story!

"I took some time and read this book thoroughly and then, I decided to give a review. It's such an awesome book. It's so detailed and elaborated that a reader would easily blend into the story. The Plot was really well-planned, along with the character development, which was incredible. I think you should write more stories and if you do, they are gonna be one of the trending stories on inkitt. Although, I think that now, you should write Fantasy and action stories. You should also share your story as much as you can, because it's such an awesome story that every reader would wanna read it! Overall, this book was Superb!"

Preserved In Ink

"The characters were amazing. Each one had a role and fulfilled it dutifully. The grammar was amazing and it helped to create those moments of suspense, especially when there was the knock at the door. I would love to see how Stefan a.k.a Aniike, reacts to Amelia's lie. Keep it up author! You are doing an amazing job!"

Beautiful!!!!!!

"Okay, I like how you made it perfectly clear that Mimi is different, and I'm not sure why she talks to herself so often, but it lets us know what's going on in her head. Stefan and Jasper are intriguing, and I'm curious as to where this will lead. You've also kept me on my toes, as I'm curious as to what will happen next. Your grammar and punctuation are lovely, and I think the author did an excellent job in general!!!"

Light-hearted, humours and fresh

"This was a beautiful, captivating novel I liked so much more than I expected. The main character is a young girl who hears voices in her head and wants to write a letter to a close male friend. Not my first story involving love letters or even just letters in general, but it is my first one where the MC seems to be someone who's not completely sound of mind. This, I found added humour to the story, originality and helped in giving a deeper understanding of the MC and what goes on her head. As far as the plot goes, I found it contained humour, danger, tension, bad blood and much more. For a seemingly simple story, these elements give the story more intrigue and add to its captivating quality. I had not expected to relate much, if at all with a 16-year-old protagonist, but the author did such an excellent job painting this story, I found the MC relatable and her adventures with her friends and classmates managed to take me back to my youth. The scenes were sometimes vague and sometimes beautifully descriptive. Surprisingly, I found that added to the novel's appeal. The writing style is also different from what I typically read and find in other stories, but it had such a charming quality to it, it pulls the readers in and refuses to let go. There were one or 2 paragraphs where the formatting could have been better, but otherwise, I didn't see anything wrong with the author's technical writing skills. Overall, a lovely, fresh and enrapturing novel, I would recommend to anyone. Keep up the good work Adalia and I hope to read more from you."

Decadent snippets of nostalgia

"Preserved in Ink is a humorous, YA contemporary novel that will make you forget you're reading. First chapter will hook you in with the characterization of the MC, Amelia, and her introversion. I always have a guilty pleasure for funny stories that remind me of my adolescence. The story is so lighthearted and warm, I almost forgot I'm smiling and laughing all the way through the end of each chapter. Your writing style is also smooth and easy to follow. There are many stories I've seen with the same plotting and setting but yours so far is the only one I can gauge as engaging, a true page-turner for this genre. It's too early to conclude about the plot so I'll leave it for now to the author to continue writing this story. What I loved most about it are the pop culture references (e.g. anime and Naruto Run) that fitted well with the tone of the narrative. Overall, a comical, unique take on what it means to be young and how friendships change us over time. Excellent work so far, author and keep writing! :)"

A Secret Letter of Love

"Amelia knows about secrets. There is a special one she holds in her heart, and is worthy of only one person, her friend and enemy Anike. He is a good looking boy with his thick black curls matching Amelia’s own, and he is capable of inspiring the very best in her. But he is also talented at destroying her self-esteem and will sometimes call her child. Dare she share everything with him, a boy who could be so indifferent at times? Maybe Anike should learn what a broken heart feels like. But will his destruction become her own? An unusual romance story with a large juicy secret in the form of the letter Amelia writes to Anike. We never quite know the reason or contents of the letter (at least not in the three chapters I’ve read so far) and I admit that’s driving me crazy with curiosity. I bet you she’s going to break up with him. Anike has a sort of mean side at times. (Of course this is just my opinion. It doesn’t mean I’m right. I’ll have to keep reading to find out.) I liked how Author Adalia provides some light comedic parts to ease out the tension. An enjoyable and surprising love story with a secret at it’s core. "

Captivating

"The story was very different from most stories I've read. The mc is rather unique and has a lot of internal conflict she needs to deal with. There is so much mystery and intrigue written into the story. I have so many questions and couldn't help but binge read it. I'm so impatient for the next chapter. Stefan is interesting and I can't wait to get to know more about him. I also like the character Jasper. I love the plot and the concept of this story and all the chapters are written in a cliff-hanger making it impossible to be satisfied with just one chapter per day. The writing style was also amazing. I've never read a story with a writing style like this one. The author writes in a way that pulls you into the story and holds you there. She knows how to play with your emotions, poking at your curiosity and dropping completely unexpected situations on you and then leaves you hanging. She writes a heavy scene that leaves you feeling depressed and then has you rolling on the floor in laughter with the next scene. There are times when the writing almost seems lyrical and at other times it had a dreamy vibe. The characters are relatable, complex, amusing and so realistic it's amazing. By the end of the first 4 chapters, I felt like I was well acquitted with or on my way to being good friends with the mc before I realised she's a character from a story. If there are any problems with the grammar, I didn't see any. The flow of the story was completely smooth and uninterrupted by any grammar errors. The comma placing in fact lead to a particularly hilarious moment at the end of one of the chapters. I really love and enjoy this story and I can't wait to read more! Would definitely recommend this novel to all my friends! Awesome job Adalia!!"
