7 am. Ready to go to her office. Looking at her door before going out.

Maddie, takes a deep breath : Last day. You can do it !

Opens the door, goes out and closes it.

Neighbor, Mrs. Jones, an old lady : Good morning Miss, are you going somewhere ? I saw all the boxes you put outside the building. Are you going to move ?

Maddie with a big smile : Good morning Mrs. Jones. Yes, I’m going to leave for a while but the boxes are just stuffs I don’t need anymore, I’m going to donate them.

Mrs. Jones : Ooooh, you’re a sweetheart Maddie. Don’t leave us too long, we will miss you. Have a good day !

She laughs and goes to her apartment.

Maddie : Thank you ! Same to you !

She walks, takes the elevator, walks to the bus stop, takes the bus to her office.

Arrives at her office.

Maddie : Last day ! You can do it !

Opens the door and greets everyone with a big smile.

John (Her superior) : Hello Madd’ how are you today ? Ready for a new week ?

Maddie: I’m fine and yeah, as always ! *laughs*

John : I heard you were with your parents this weekend ? How was it ?

Maddie : Yes, we were together Saturday and Sunday morning. It was really… great.

John : Awesome ! I hope you finished the report I asked you last week ? Well, I need it tomorrow but… Did you do it ?

Maddie : Of course.

John : Cool, put it in my office tomorrow morning. I will read it.

Maddie : Yes, sir.

John joins his office. Maddie does the same.

Hannah : Hi darling, what’s up ?

Maddie : Hey.

Hannah : You okey ? You seem… tired ? Weekend ?

Maddie : Yeah, totally. It was tiring.

Hannah : You were with your parents, right ? What did you guys do ? You must have had a lot of fun ! You told me that you didn’t see them from your last birthday.

Maddie : Yeah, I did. We talked… a lot and ate together.

Hannah : You’re kidding me. That’s all ? Dude you turned 25, did you have a party ? Something like that ?

Maddie : Yeah, as I said we ate together. At a really… cool… restaurant.

Hannah : Okeeeey… If you say that you had fun, I’m gonna to trust you. By the way, we’re gonna to drink some beers and have “fun” tonight, wanna join us ?

Maddie : No. I have many things to do tonight. But thank you !

Hannah : You’re sure ? but… it’s up to you babe. Gonna work now, see you later !

Maddie : I am. See you ! *looks at her phone, 9am*

Focus on her computer. Time passes by. 1pm. Goes to the cafeteria. Takes her lunch, a seat and begins to eat.

Peter : Maddie ! I didn’t see you this morning. I thought you won’t come today.

Maddie *stuttering* : Pe… Peter ! Hi ! I was behind my office, doing my … work.

Peter : I see. Can I join you ?

Maddie : Of course. Have a seat !

Peter : Thank you. Are you okay ? You look …

Maddie : Tired ? Yeah, I had lots of works and I was with my parents for my birthday and…

Peter : Ah right ! Happy belated birthday. Damn ! I should buy you a present, I’m sorry.

Maddie : No, it’s okay, don’t worry about that ! I’m fine.

Peter *smile* : You know what ? I may don’t have a gift … BUT I have… hummm… 2 tickets for a really boring movie they will diffuse tonight. And I was thinking… you know… if you… wanted to go with me ? And maybe we could have a dinner together…

Maddie looks at Peter like she was lost.

Peter : It begins at 8pm so I could pick…

Maddie : I’m sorry.

Peter : What ?

Maddie : I’m sorry. I have plans tonight. A lots of works.

Peter : Ooh *laughs*. I see. I’m sorry, I should have asked you first… It’s okay, next time I guess ?

Maddie : Yeah, next time. I have to go, need to finish my report.

Peter : See you later ?
