I couldn't stop staring at my boyfriend, Henry Oliver. He just looked so cute. He often wore his suit and tye. He always looked his best. To be honest, I couldn't say the same for myself. That was until, Henry advised me to wear more dresses and I practiced how to walk on heels even though it practically murdered my feet. I'd do anything for him. I had to make a few changes before I could go out in public with Henry. He didn't want the unwanted attention everytime we went out and he wanted to show everyone that he had the most beautiful girlfriend in the world, which is yours truly. Henry wasn't the type of person to settle for less than what he wanted. If he found a problem with something, he'd tell me immediately and he doesn't want to be embarrassed. His social status was very important to him. He wanted to be the best in the eyes of the public. Everyone absolutely adored him and he was envied by most men. I never cared about what other people thought of me but Henry's opinion mattered to me the most. I'm lucky to have him, many women tried to harass me because I was dating the most handsome man in the country! He could be a male model, honestly. He just looks like a movie star and he's pretty rich too. Before I was with him, I was first known as a odd woman. Then one day, two years ago in November, he came around to where I worked and picked me from the crowd between all those women who threw themselves at him. I couldn't believe that he chose me, maybe because of the cute uniform I had to wear. It was the cocktail bar's anniversary and the ladies had to wear yellow shirts with black mini skirts and blonde wigs. While the men wore yellow shirts with black pants. Henry's favorite color is yellow and he has a thing for blondes. I would've never wore that outfit or the wig if I could decide what to wear. I am glad that it was compulsory to wear the blonde wig, yellow shirt and black mini skirt because he probably wouldn't have noticed me. At first, I thought he was joking because, me? Seriously? Every guy I met weren't attracted to me because I often wore chains, collars, big boots and black clothes all day, everyday.
I am very grateful to have him in my life. He's the first man who has so much respect for me that he wants to wait until we're married before I lose my virginity. I'm glad I never lost my virginity. I am honestly terrified of losing my virginity to someone who never deserved it. If that ever happened to me, I wouldn't be able to handle it. I admit that I don't like it when he sometimes tells me that I look scary and he wants me to look pretty instead of intimidating. I know we have our differences, but which couple don't, right? Who knows, maybe he's the man for me. I brushed my dyed blonde hair into a high ponytail. The roots of my hair were still black. I put on a tight fitted pink t-shirt and a cute denim skirt. I decided to wear fishnet stockings, I love my stockings and I'm not a fan of rocking bare legs either. I slipped on a pair of black Mary Jane's. My makeup was light. I wore bright red lipstick and black eyeliner. I waited for Henry to come and pick me up, he said that he wanted to take me out for a surprise over the phone about an hour ago. I heard Henry's red lamborghini pulled up and the door bell rang in two minutes. I answered the door immediately and hugged Henry. "I missed you so much!" I said, smiling widely. He chuckled and said, "I've only been out of town for three months, silly girl. Are you ready to go?" I blushed and picked up my purse. "Yes, let's go." We went to the car and he got the door for me. I sat down and asked him if I could turn the music on. He nodded and I connected his car aux cable to my phone as he reversed. I played "Snow White Queen" from Evanescence. He pulled a face, the kind that says 'odd choice of music'. He doesn't really appreciate my music tastes. He'd listen to music from Justin Timberlake, Sam Smith, Charlie Puth and the okay kind of country such as Bon Jovi and Counting Crows. I'm more into 80s music, mostly dark wave if not metal from the '00s. Counting Crows and Bon Jovi are okay, though.
Henry changed the song and I hummed along to "A
Long December" from Counting Crows as we were getting closer to our destination. I was never the type to go on dates. A date is just basically interviewing the person you're dating and watching each other eat. It's nice that he takes me out on dates even if I'm not really a fan of it. Henry stopped the car and we got out. He took me to a fancy restaurant that had the fanciest chandeliers I've ever seen. The waiters were dressed in black suits and their hair were neatly combed back. The waiter escorted me and Henry to our table. We had an expensive bottle of champagne, and the menus were black with shiny golden edges. It was beautiful. We were reading through our menus for about five minutes. On the menu, I saw a lot of different types of salads that I haven't even heard of and fancy dishes such as raw meat dishes, sushi, fruity tofu, wine cakes, brandy fruit cakes, raw fish, oysters and mostly wines. All fancy. The waiter came to our table, "May I take your orders, sir and miss?" Henry looked at me, "You find anything you like yet?" I smiled at him, "I would like cranberry juice. And I think I'll go with the fried chicken and greek salad, thank you" I handed my menu to the waiter and he smiled, "I'm glad you found something you like." Henry was a little red in the face and glared at the waiter. "Henry, what are you having?" I asked to calm him down. "I'll have a glass of Jack Daniel's. The mushroom & mash patada dish, shrimp pie with two oysters and vegetable soup." I know Henry is a stress eater. Henry nearly threw the menu at the waiter and my eyes widened. He has quite a temper. The waiter smiled and walked away with the menus.
Henry ignored me as he gobbled up his mushroom and mash patada dish rather quickly. He shouldn't stress himself out like that and it's probably my fault for trying to be polite. I admit that it's cute when Henry's jealous sometimes, because he could honestly have any woman he wants and he chose me. I'll never get over that amazing fact in all honesty. I picked at my salad and chicken slowly, not wanting to eat too messy in front of Henry. I don't want to put him off. He doesn't like a woman to be messy, he pointed that out to me on our first date at a seafood restaurant, which was a month after he asked me to be his girlfriend. He was perfect, even in the eye of the public. I'm really lucky and I'll never stop being grateful for that. Henry drank his alcohol, I didn't like that he drinks. He can be the worst person in the world when he's drunk, but I still love him.
