The reader is never left bored, there is always a new plot twist that keeps us hooked. I also think you did a really good way of showing the heroines grief and confusion after Sadie's death. Her anger at the police when they stop investigating the crime, feeling like no one understands her, you've done a great job. "At first, when I read the description of the book, I taught that this would be a pretty normal crime solving novel and I was waiting for the investigator self of Maddy to came out on the surface and start to arrange the puzzle pieces. But from chapter three or four on, I started to understand that my etiquette was wrong and with that in mind, I began to look at the story from a different angle. The result was different too, since I liked the plot more and more with each chapter. I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in thriller genre, because the suspense of this story makes the heart of the reader race, feeling everything the main character feels. The descriptions are easy to understand and imagine as if you are part of the plot too and the style of the writer is very good. Here and there I saw some little mistakes but nothing worth mentioning again. Overall I really liked what I have read so far and I must say that I can't wait for the next chapters. Great job, dear Thea. Congrats! <3"

"As a fan of this author's work, I very much enjoyed reading their latest story. Soulmate is a suspenseful, if slightly predictable, mystery drama that really accentuates the quality of the author's writing style. The writing style is easy to follow and adds depth to the character dynamics and the fast-paced plot. Also, the realistic internal dialogue of the protagonist, Maddy, was very intriguing to read, especially as she became entangled in the same danger that had befallen her late friend. My only critique is the predictability of the plot twists, most notably the killer's identity, which was a tad too easy to solve. Personally, I prefer the thrill of contemplating various suspects, analyzing motives, and such, before concluding about the killer. Thus, for instance, to add more mystery to the plot, I'd change the wording of the text Maddy receives from Jamie before she goes to the park. This change would ensure that although the last text Maddy and Sadie received on Soulmate was conspicuously similar; they shouldn't be exactly word for word, which may make some readers pause before making the connection. Overall, this is a dramatic mystery novel lush with anticipation and the intrigue and danger of texting strangers. P.S: Cannot wait for the update! That cliffhanger was deadly!"

"I've read this author's other books and enjoyed them both equally, maybe one more than the other. So it's safe to say that this one is one of the best, all of them are great reads, which I do recommend to anyone. This story fills you with suspense, and leaves you wanting more, it's really a good book. All technical skills are great, nothing off from anything and the plot direction is clear to where confusion doesn't occur. All in all great job to the author, definitely recommend this to anyone who loves thriller genres! "

"Soulmate is a heart racing thriller that keeps you on your toes the whole way through the story. It is a little on the short side, but the nail biting plot ensured that you are never bored when reading. The story begins after the murder of Sadie, the best friend of the protagonist, and follows the story of how the protagonist then, despite danger, and without police help, solves the murder. Almost every chapter leaves you on a cliffhanger, waiting to learn more, which is perfect for this kind of story. The cast of characters are also really fun, and it feels like, even though Sadie is dead throughout the story, we still really got to know her. On top of this, another thing I lived was the authors addictive writing style. The beautiful front cover is the icing on the cake. The only thing I have some problems with is the pacing, it feels like everything happens very quickly and Maddy solved the case really quickly. I feel like more information could be given on ‘Jamie’ and the ‘Boss’ for example if they are part of a gang or mafia and that is why they kill these little girls? Or are they just sickos. Overall the plot just feels a little simple. Anyway - I really hope you write a sequel because I would definitely read it!! "

"The writer has used good suspense buildage and mystery development techniques. Foreshadowing the actual events here and there, she creates a tension among the characters. Written from the first person point of view, elaborate details of the protagonist's (Maddy) personal and emotions gives the reader a clear insight in the connection of the plot with character development. The main reason of the conflict in the story is the dating app, Soul Mate that kills one and nearly murder's another. In the later chapters, the antagonist was introduced with his just his role. No name was assigned to him which doesn't give his the reader a chance to look into a real character. He just a shadow that may go and come again. It was a nice experience to read a good novel with lots of action and mystery."
Past is prologue and prologue is good
"Read the prologue and first 3 chapters; the prologue is a nice setup, and I'm intrigued by this Jamie guy — is it just a coincidence that he and Maddie matched on the app? Maybe something from his time talking with Sadie led him to her best friend. But also there are a lot of moments where the tense shifts, making it a bit of a jarring read at times, and there are also a few instances where the scene change isn't so smooth — but some re-reading and editing can shape it up spotless."
