Persephone was a powerful young goddess with a bright future ahead of her. She had a perfect life and her powers only seemed to be getting stronger.
She was respected and loved. Her mother was one of the original Olympians, this only gave Persephone more perks.
She traveled to Olympia with her mother and met with her friends.
She was mostly surrounded by the nymph’s and she loved them with all her heart. But one day someone ruined her world.
The land that her mother had secured to raise Persephone was raided. They attacked the nymphs and burnt her home.
A war broke out between the invaders and her people. She fought to the last and she did so at her mother’s side.
They were winning but unfortunately one day, her mother was brutally attacked and didn’t survive.
Her mother’s dying wish was for Persephone to flee this land. To make a new life for herself and to never look back at her past. To forget about the Olympians and Olympia and blend in with the humans to protect herself.
Her mother died that night in Persephone’s arms and surrounded by the nymphs.
From then on her life was never the same. She moved down to earth, changed her name, found a place to live, and tried to find a place to work.
She worked for years without getting noticed and she had learned to shield her aura so that no other supernatural would suspect her for anything but human.
She worked for over 50 years, she never aged because she was immortal and she began to become bored with the mundane life she had. She finally opened a coffee shop and only ever hired part-time staff so they wouldn’t get too attached or find her aging process to be unusual.
She could never use her powers and if she did it was in the middle of nowhere at the stroke of midnight.
She became a goddess of darkness when she was supposed to be a goddess of light. She saw no harm in this. She thought this was what human nature did to Olympians. She never knew she was following her destiny and she was one step closer to fulfilling her fate.
“I couldn’t remember what happened the night before. All I know is that I had a terrible hangover and woke up somewhere warm. I very quickly realised I had teleported myself back to hell. I’m currently in my chambers in my castle. I turned to my clock and seen that i was late for work. I needed to get back on the land of the living fast or i will be in serious trouble with death himself, Thanatos. ”
