Chapter 1
CHAPTER 1
It was a frenzy morning, exactly 6am in the morning. Brad, a tall and dark young man in his mid thirties with those abs you only see in the magazine and those hazel deep eyes, hated rainy days especially whenever it started out with those nightmares about his wife, Alicia and daughter, Eva.
Despite the cold morning, he woke up panting vigorously and sweating profusely. It’s always same pattern of the nightmare or maybe he should call it, a flashback only that this always happen in some nights and mornings just like this one.
It all started 2years and six months ago on his daughter’s birthday. On that unfaithful 6th of March, its Eva’s 3rd birthday and Alicia promised to let her to pick her own cake while he arranged for the food and drinks for just Eva’s friends, his colleagues at work and few of Alicia’s friends with neighbours too. Eva insisted that they wear matching outfit from a night before; started out with those ugly pinkie pyjamas. He couldn’t have imagined himself putting on a pink let alone as a night wears but Eva can be a handful. On that morning, Alicia handed him a white Tee and blue jeans with these beautiful smiles that radiates in her eyes every morning. She had those beautiful smiles when she planted a quick kiss on his face and few butterfly kisses all over his body.
This morning kissing ritual as he calls them is one major habit he loved about her and I miss them so much that my heart hurts so deeply.
Alicia was to drive Eva to the cake shop downtown; their favourite spot for sweet tooth. While he was to go pick up the decorator and the food they already ordered the day before. He hugged them and watched as they entered the white sport car he got Alicia last year.
Alicia is buckling their daughter’s seatbelt when his phone rang; a call from an unknown caller. In his line of work as a secret agent, such discreet call can only mean one thing, a disaster!
He picked up only to hear from the other end, “POHH’ and the call dropped.
The next thing he remembered was waking up in a hospital bed with all those depressing tubes and machines beeping.
His beautiful wife and daughter blown up right before his eyes and he couldn’t save them; neither knew who the caller was.
His life ended that day he woke up in that hospital bed.
He wished he had died.
Now he have to live with the guilt and pains of not been able to save his family for the rest of his remaining miserable life.

Nice piece, I'm waiting for the continuation of the story sha. Good work.
