Chapter 1
I'm freshly divorced and sense my ex husband will have our son more then me because of my job i let him keep the house and now I'm out looking for some place to rent. I seen a sign at one of the stores that a 3 bedroom trailer is for rent and it wasn't bad on the monthly rent and it wasn't to far of a drive from my son's school, I take the tag with the number on it and decided to give it a shot. A old woman picked up the phone and I told her I was interested in the trailer for rent and when would be the best time to come and look at it? To my surprise she said if I had time right now I can come because she is there right now and gave me the address.
I pull in and the outside is clean and the ground around it has been kept up not much of a front yard though but on the side of the trailer was enough space to put something like a swimming pool if she would allow it. I knock on the door and she hollered for me to come in, hi I'm Ashlynn I called earlier about the trailer for rent, "come on in have a seat honey." I keep looking at this woman like I've seen her before but can't remember where, she got up with her cane and walked me through the trailer and showed me the rooms, "my son and daughter keeps this place up because I'm not able to anymore so if you decide to rent this my son cuts the grass every 2 weeks and it's included in your rent he lives across the road right there in that house and I live right up this road behind the trailer my daughter lives about 45 minutes away." Why is she telling me where she and her kids live? O wait never mind old people like to talk a lot.
"Honey I don't mean to keep staring at you but it feels like I've seen you somewhere before," I was thinking the same thing maybe you was a patient of mine or something? "Are you a doctor?" No I'm a night nurse at the memorial hospital, "I've never been there so it couldn't have been there." I thanked her for showing me the trailer and for her hospitality and that I would be in touch with her soon, do you need a ride to your house? She smiles "no thank you my son will pick me up and take me home," I gave her a hug and left.
2 days later I still couldn't find anything to my liking and the only place I was ok with was that trailer and I really grew fond of that little old women for some reason so I called her up and asked if it was still available and if it is I wanted it.
I love my bedroom it's really not that big but its just me here mostly and my son has his own bedroom but I'm pretty sure he will want to sleep with me with it being a strange place to him. I turn the facet on in the kitchen and it sounded like water is leaking, I open the cabinet door and see water coming out of the pipes I called the little old woman and explained to her what happened, "I'm so sorry my son must not have tightened them back when he cleaned them out ill send him straight down there."
I jerk everything out and get towels to dry underneath the cabinet so it doesn't do any damage I'm on my hands and knees back in this cabinet trying to get it dried out when I hear a knock on the door, come in, "here miss ill take care of that," its ok I was trying to dry up the water so it didn't do any water damage, I stood up and turned around and to my surprise I'm face to face with my high school ex, the boy that I was completely in love with and gave my heart to let him take my virginity and had sex with him 2 more times after that, o hell what have I gotten myself into Derek is that little old woman's son and now I remember where I have seen her before.
We have a stare down for a few moments and I wanted to knee him between the legs for what he did to me, I break away from our stare down and go sit on the couch cover up and start my movie, "so your that sweet girl mom keeps talking about?" I guess so and no I didn't know she was your mom until I seen you so don't go there, "o I wasn't I've just been wondering about who mom kept talking about," well now you know, "so your divorced and have a son?" I didn't answer him back, "I'm divorced and have a boy and a girl" I thought to myself yippee I don't want to hear your voice shut up fix the pipes and get out of here.
He finally got it fixed and left I'm laying in bed tossing and turning after 10 years seeing his face and having him in my presence still angers me to this day, he told me he had to break up with me because he is moving out of town to find work and I believed him until a couple of weeks later when my friends drug me out of the house and we went bowling and then that's when I seen him with another girl, yes I may have showed out flirting with other guys and letting them pick me up and run with me around the bowling alley so I could rub it in his face, he broke my heart I thought I was going to be with him forever and when i seen him with that girl it shattered it.
Derek's Pov
Mom has been going on about this sweet girl that rented out the trailer and how she thinks she has seen her before and now it has me curious to who she is but I didn't have to wait that long because she called about pipes leaking under her kitchen sink and I grab my tools and go to the trailer.
I knock on the door and hear come in and soon as I stepped into the kitchen the first thing I seen is her butt sticking straight up in the air and from there my night got a whole lot better until we stood face to face with each other and my heart fluttered.
Finally after all these years I'm face to face with her but she doesn't look to happy to see me. Has she found out I lied to her about moving out of town? But from what I seen at the bowling alley she didn't seem to care that I broke up with her from the way she was acting but it sure broke my heart the way those boys was all over her and her all over them that I had to get out of there and I don't even think she knew I was there.
One thing I know for certain is that I took her virginity and no one will be able to take that away from me, I would see her in town at groceries stores or gas stations my heart would skip a beat as soon as my eyes would spot her and I wanted so bad to tell her that it wasn't me that wanted to end it, it was my family always in my head telling me to dump her that she is jail bait, even though we had her parents permission to date my family was uncomfortable with it and I finally gave in and broke it off with her which was the biggest mistake of my life!
