The second crack wakes me from my trance. I've been scrubbing the walls all day what could they possibly be punishing me for now?

I roll my shoulders as the damp sponge stays locked in my left hand. Slowly, my right hand reaches around to touch my left shoulder blade.

It's wet, but it doesn't feel like blood..if I had a wolf I'd be able to smell it but of course I was unworthy - in every way.

Bringing my hand back towards my face and rolling the substance in my fingers I realise that its eggs they're throwing. Just as I figure it out, eggs start raining down on me from every direction. I drop my hands to my sides, but I don't drop my big yellow sponge. Instead, I clench my hands into fists and make my back go rigid.

At least its not shit this time. I suppose, in their own way, this was a mercy for being so dilligent with the walls. Yes, really this is a gift! Just eggs this time.

I let a smile cross my lips, since the only witness would be the drywall.

Today I wasn't hit with rocks, spoiled milk, garbage, or shit!

My ears perked up at the sound of my name.

No one uses my name..unless..

"REYNA!"

As I turned around, everyone else had dropped their eggs and was bowed in submittion to their Alpha. My feet rotated my body slowly, keeping my back straight I met the cold hazel eyes of Alpha Hendrix.

When will I get the hint? Goddess, I still can't recognize an Alpha command! I learned how to block out the voices well enough but I can't fine tune these stupid human ears to the man of my nightmares? STILL?

Seconds could have been mistaken for hours until I blinked and sallowed hard. I looked down at my barefeet.

"Yes, Alpha?"

Pathetic.

I cringed internally as I all but whispered. I know he heard it because a sadistic smile crept across his face as he saw what he desired from me - fear.

I'm weak - a sorry excuse for a first born daughter. Espically aince I'm supposed to be from Alpha blood. What a joke! My parents, Will, and I - we were all found unworthy of our lives. The only difference is - I'm the only one stuck living mine! I'm unworthy of even death, apparently.

I didn't notice him get closer. He was standing right in front of me. The Alpha was so close I swore I smelled applewood and fire. I was staring directly into his chest.

"Why are you standing around, looking disgusting, when theres work to be doing?!"

Don't react. He doesn't want an answer to that.

"Why do you insist upon being insolent, at all times?! The entire room bowed to my Alpha command, yet you are still standing here..NEITHER CLEANING, NOR BOWING!"

He was absoutely sething, today. My right arm moves to my heart, with my fists still intact, and I bow low to the Alpha. I bent at the hips, as one would do to show respect. For some reason, this felt more natural than kneeling for him. I stayed for only a second before dropping to the floor and reaching for my bucket of suds. Even as a human I could hear his deep breaths - the only other sound was my sponge as I wrung it out and plopped it on the hard wood floor. I started by relaxing my breathing and I kept my eyes on the floor.
