Chapter 1
Amongst the stars shimmering within the darkness and beyond. the planet Coruscaunt the huge city wrapped around the planet filled with towering structures reaching the skies above.the city never rests it seems always busy with the inhabitants that lived amongst the towers or below it's surface where the streets did not shine and no light that could reach from above that would shined down upon the streets of the underground leaving the surface above for politics that were feasting off the poor below and beyond the galaxy not knowing who was below or who was suffering but still, below even the inhabitants lived off the work they could afford and the wages that they earned each day the streets brought food to their tables the roads were filled with all types of species and even twilikes. The noise was so loud with shouting buyers trying to make deals on their purchases and goods most of which were either spices or death sticks which could only be found in certain locations of the galaxy the pikes had their hands griped upon the many systems with their drugs and yet here amongst the underground network the sellers were very careful with their goods but no imperials would ever come down below they were not worth their time unless you were a Jedi . Speeders would hover by against the pipes and tight corners of the buildings it was enough space for teo speeders to pass by but amongst all this. Laylu had manage to sleep getting use to the noise of the streets and sounds was somewhat soothing now she remember that there was such a time that she had lived upon the surface or what the inhabitants called the surface dwellers but she remember a time when she had lived within the Jedi temple before the fall. Before the empire. And now there was the purge Their was no noise from above no speeders flying by waking her up no sellers raising their voice no light to block the darkness. The white sliver hair girl wrapped in her blanket sleeping under the coner of some roof to keep her safe from unwanted guest. Laylu woke to the sounds of the speeders running past her upon the rooftops where she was huddle under the damp cover of the building she rubbed her eyes checking to make sure her hilted saber was culchted by her side she lifted her head from the satchel she rested her head upon her long long green cloaked kept her warm during the night.she could tell it was morning even within the dark cold city of the underworld she smelled food being made this is how she knew it was morning.she knew she had to get up and prepare for the day.here she dare not use her force cuting the force off was a way of protecting her from the empire the stormtroopers if they knew she was jedi they did either kill her or turn her in she had heard wispers of jedi turning themselves in or these inquisitors hunting what remain of the jedi and their order.she had heard that it was a jedi that betray them that led the attack on the jedi temple. She also heard rumors of a resistance group fighting against the empire the might of such a force with all of their fleets and troops those that rebel could be no match for the strength of the empire at hand they now controlled the galaxy reaching their long grasped upon the many star systems. She knew that fighting back would be futile she just be killed like the rest of the jedi and those who resisted against those whom would crush them. She remembered that her master had saved her, allowing her to escape. Although she didnt know if he survived it was most likely he hadnt but for such occasion like this he had told her where they would go to flee away from the empire away from everyone and everything.it had been three years since that day since the fall of the jedi order and she was in the heart of the sarlacc pit where the empire strive and carried out there orders. It was here she knew she needed either to flee or make a impact. The streets were the small white and blond hair girl moved within the city limits covering her face and wacthing the crowd as they move past her talking amongst each other or hurrying to other places within the underworld city. She lifted up her head wacthing looking for any signs of stormtroopers but lately the imperials had been seen within the underworld puting up blockcades and checkpoints and now visual I.D was to be given to keep track on everyone below for suspicious activities throughout the cities because of recent events upon multiple worlds beening more active with the imperial the might of the empire and the emperor' thought it best to keep yet another tight crasp upon the galaxy at hand the troops had now been down below but only in certain areas. She knew she had to avoid the imperials checkpoints and visual I.D if she was to go through the checkpoints she did be caught for sure she thought there was no other way to escape the empire and knowing that time was running short. The only way past the checkpoints was to go unseen laylu had done some business within the areas she had visit only to be met now with imperial forces her work was the survival of her getting off the planet itself she worked in a small business shop run by a mon calamari name aktee. She had grown fawned of the fish like creature telling her stories of her home world before the empire and during the clone wars, how he had ended up here was beyond her guess but she didnt questioned it was home like many was controlled by hand of the emiper she walked into the shop the amphibian didnt even look just knew it was her he sighed and grunted while working on a part for a speeder. Your late again i see laylu walked past him tossing her backpack on to the counter. Traffic today was bad there putting up more checkpoints. She walked over to the speeder in the garage surviving its design and structure she leaned over the speeder. Aktee didnt turn his head just continue to work on the part. I have notice that recently they are beginning to set up more and also search parties makes me think what they are looking for. He sighed probably more jedi i wonder its a good thing i am not jedi or i did be caught. Laylu turned around jumping up on to the hood of the speeder to answer his question probably be for the best wouldnt it i bet you would have made a good jedi. She folded her arms waiting for a response knowing very well that he didnt know her secret that she was a jedi within hiding but how long could she continue this for the checkpoints were being set up just about every district the stormtroopers patroling at nights as if they knew she was here looking for her. Aktee sighed once again staring at his part for the machine nearly fix i would have not made a very good jedi. Laylu cocked her head and why not? She asked. Acktee turned to meet her confused gaze taking a minute to answer tossing the part towards her cecthing it within time as he spoke because acktee likes the water and sleep was driven away from the empire and given passage here. She looked at The repulserlift she knew right away she jumped off and going under the speeder puting the part into its socket he toss her a wrench using the tool to make sure it fited propley and screwing thw bolts within. She stopped she could hear the sound of footsteps nearby and more followed as well with a concern look she knew who they were they spoke with military direct. She slid to the otherside of the speeder crouching she leaned over the edge of the speeder she had tried her best to avoid the checkpoints but now the might of the empire was at her door she couldn't let herself be capture by the Empire.Laylu wacth as the stormtroopers approached the shop they shimering white armor gleamed within the lights a imperial officer wearing a gray military inform approached the worker his arms resting behind his back his stern look gaze around the room staring at the mon calamari. He swiped his index finger across the counter we have recent reports of rebel activities within this sector to aid such a criminal is a crime against the empire such punishment will not go un notice and to aid such a criminal is death by firing squad. The mon calamari looked past the officer turned towards the stormtroopers who were in a formidable line there blaster rest against their chest. the officer walked around the room the mon calamari said no aid to the criminals you seek acktee loyal to the empire. Laylu knew that he was not loyal to empire but only speaking to save himself from any harm that could befall him. The officer smiled walking over to the speeder layu ducked so not to be seen . It is resuring to hear such words spoken and a loyal citizen such as yourself would not mind if we look around your shop with.... your permission of course. The officer turned to face the amphibian waiting for a answer. The amphibian noded towards him . He turned towards his men signaling them to search the premise of the building.the stormtroopers moved spreading out within the shop they raided the area searching for any signs of the rebels the mon calamari wacthed as they enterd around the counter and walked into the storage area as well. Mean while the officer stood waiting for the investigation to be done staring at the mon calamari .suddenly a noise could be heard from the speeder He turned his head and then towards the amphibian he sighed i hope for your sake u are indeed loyal to the emiper. The officer turned and walked towards the speeder slowly approaching he reahced for his pistol blaster. Laylu could hear his footsteps getting closer she quickly layed on the floor noticing the repulser lift had came undone she rolled her eyes knowing that this was her doing she layed on the floor. wacthing as his footsteps came closer to the speeder the black gleamed boots turned walking towards and around the speeder slowly approaching her the officer unholstered his weopen ready for anything he turned his head towards the amphibian he took a deep breath and with a quick movement he walked around the speeder he halted to his confusion there was no one there. incase he had walked towards the back of the speeder but there was no one to be seen coming back to where he stood before. He turned towards acktee. The stormtroopers were done with there search reporting to him there are no rebels within this building. The officer noded and signal his men to resume position which they quickly did so. The officer gazed at acktee thank you for loyal service to the empire are emperor would be most pleased. The imperial turned to face his men with a sudden movement in union they all fell in line moving as one leaving the shop. Layu waited for there retreat until it was safe hiding underneath the speeder was a good spot but she couldn't take any risks of questions or be capture by the empire she wouldn't let her mistake cost acktees life .acktee sighed and turned his head towards the speeder folding his arms you have some explaining to do. Laylu crawled out of the speeder making sure the area was secured standing up she brushed the dirt off her clothes she met acktees gaze gulping she had to tell him or risk being capture. I am....a jedi she spoke trembling before acktee.She stood knowing that the truth was spoken acktee close the shop after what she had said not wanting anybody esle to hear he stood thinking rubing his fish like hands on his chin and turned to her. Can you use the force? He had heard of jedi that could weild and use the force at will a power that was not to take likely. She turned her head looking away from his gaze rubing her shoulder with a sadden heart she simply reply no i cut myself off from the force to protect me from the empire i cant...risk getting caught. Acktee was still stroking his chin stareing at her and listening intently. Im not for the empire i only spoke to keep me and you safe i had believe that the empire had vanquish all the jedi but it seems you are alive a reason it seems that the force has a purpose for you young jedi.laylu turned to meet his gaze my own clones had turned on us, a jedi name skywalker had enter the temple and order his entire unit to vanquish the temple. I only survived because of my master he saved my life but. She paused quivering before the mon calamari i dont think he survived the attack it was so quick no one had time to react or regroup with each other, if there are any left i doubt its many but only few. She couldnt meet his gazed she could hear the screams of the temple and the blaster fire the igniting of lightsabers of the many jedi that did everything they could to defend or run but many of the jedi masters had died defending there young. The temple was nothing but a tomb for the fallen Jedi nothing more then ghost within its halls. She didnt have anytime to flee the planet after the attack she had gone underground and here she was standing before acktee was he smiling she wonder. I will not report you jedi, there are few that are standing up against the empire and few can become many but i do what i can while keeping my profile very quiet. He noded towards the speeders everything you have been working on has been for this new rebellion,and my employer will be meeting me soon for his speeder but i think you should go in my place.
