What is your opinion?
Unapologetically politically incorrect and I love it!
"Having read the first book, Green Sunday, I was excited when this was posted. This story, like the last was unapologetic in it's unfiltered critique of society and people in general. If you are easily offended or "triggered" then this is not the story for you, but if you love to laugh and enjoy brutal humor, then this is your story. This book is not as polished as the last one, but can easily be fixed with proof-reading and editing. Overall great read if your not a fragile little snowflake."
Lions and Tigers and Zombies...of my!
"I found this zombie tale with a sense of humor very entertaining. While it could definitely benefit from a thorough editing, as a first draft I thought it was great. The furries were a first! The action was non-stop and often gag-inducing. I haven't read part one yet but I would like to go back and read it now. I would say the book was more plot driven than character driven. I enjoyed the writing style and clever use of language. I would recommend it to any fan of this genre."
Not for the faint of heart
"I think I have watched more zombie movies than most people, and this book contained a first. The furry convention had me sniggering to myself as I read it. The idea was so over the top it worked well for this book. “Second Sunday” leaves sarcasm and satire in the dust and moves towards absurd-ism. Don’t get me wrong, I love some Stoppard or Pinter. It seemed that all the characters were over the top, more caricature, it made me wonder if the author had ever been to America, or was these people formed in his head like mine. Overall a good read, great dialogue and easy to follow."
Green Sunday part 2: Second Sunday
"The story is witty and fast-paced, and the furries were funny. However, by the end of the story it became somewhat predictable- introduce a character, splatter the character, repeat. I also could not suspend disbelief when the police chief murdered one of his officers in the police station in front of other officers who did nothing. There were problems with spelling, punctuation, grammar, and capitalization. One thing in particular was the use of "it's" as a possessive. "It's" is a contraction for "it is" and the possessive form is "its" (exception to the general rule on possessives). Overall I was pleasantly surprised by the success of combining the humor and horror genres in this story."
Describing Social Decay
"This story is about everything literally going to s**t after a zombie apocalypse. It's a rough, hallucinated ride that is skillfully crafted - the language is coarse, but it makes sense, Who would bother about being polite when zombies are running amok? One may not be into the genre, and still appreciate that in the absurdity of it all, the behavior of the characters is actually quite realistic. There are a few typos, but nothing that can't be solves with some proofreading."
