Swamp

The breeze is nice

But it won't suffice

Compared to the swamp

The water is murky

The duckweed is green

Most won't like it

With its creatures, some mean

The mosquitoes and

Alligators and snakes

Is what people think

About the swamp

But what they

Do not notice is

The turkey and deer

With the hogs so near

And the fish in the water

Yes, with the mosquitoes,

The gators and snakes

But it's quite beautiful,

If anyone would take the time

To notice the place we call

The swamp
