Willkommen in Schattenhain - Wo Märchen und Alpträume wahr werden... Der sechzehnjährige Magnus durchlebt eine unvorstellbare Tragödie. Ein tragischer Autounfall raubt ihm seine Eltern und lässt ihn als einziger Überlebender zurück. Wäre das nicht schon schlimm genug, wird der Teenager an seinem Geburtstag in der Halloweennacht von einem übernatürlichen Wesen angegriffen. Noch ahnt er nicht, dass dies lediglich der Auftakt zu einem wahrhaftigen Alptraum sein wird. Plötzlich ist Magnus Leben nicht mehr dasselbe. Er wird von seltsamen Stimmen und Alpträumen geplagt und spürt zeitgleich eine unbändige Kraft in sich, die er nicht kontrollieren kann. Seine Sinne werden schärfer und seine Reflexe schneller. Doch das ist nur der Anfang. Denn was der Jugendliche anfangs nicht weiß ist, dass in ihm plötzlich Dämonenblut in seinen Adern fliest. Magnus ist hin- und hergerissen zwischen Faszination und Angst, denn plötzlich scheinen die Legenden von Dämonen, Engel, Hexen und Vampiren alle real zu sein. Auch die einer alten Kinderschreckfigur.
