Chapter 1
Since she was a child, Lily Singer did as she pleased. If anything went against her wishes, she would immediately go out of control. Her anger was about to burst. She was more beautiful in her childhood than she is today. As if she were a rose flower, the fragrance would emanate from her body and dissolve in the air. To date, she neither had any friends nor did she focus on any boy. She was only concerned with her life. Yes, life and time do not keep their flow the same. Something or the other keeps changing. Today, for the first time, Lily started feeling an unknown pull towards her elder sister, Carol. She felt a slight tenderness in her harshness for the first time in her sixteen years. Her eyes started looking at her sister. Lily said to herself: “This girl, who is living with me and pretending to be my rival, is going to do some black magic on me. I am so beautiful. She is also like that, but I am the epitome of beauty. She is jealous of me!” For the first time, Lily thought about a human being today. This feeling that sprouted a moment ago started blossoming slowly and steadily. Her mind kept pulling her towards something else. She would think about her sister from her heart. Then, her mind would start explaining to her. “Lily! No living being can live the same life in this world. It is the rule of the universe and nature, ordained by God. Everything relies on coexistence and symbiosis. There are more good things in this universe than the evil. Now you will have to understand this world, relationships. You will have to understand the difference between good and evil. You will have to be gentle!” The softer her mind put forth its point, the more heated her soul would retort. Days passed, and Lily’s soul and mind started getting balanced. First of all, Lily’s eyes found peace in themselves. To date, everyone in the house has accepted that a life named Lily is growing in the family. Her soul probably has no relation with the family members on this earth. No one had seen or heard her resembling anyone. When her sister’s eyes fell on Lily, she felt that Lily was looking at her. Once Carol turned and looked, Lily was looking at her. When both of their eyes met, Lily smiled for the first time in her life. When Carol moved towards her, Lily’s eyes turned slightly red. She got scared and went to her room. Like every day, everyone gathered at the dining table. Carol looked at Lily, then looked at her mom, and said: “Mom, today Lily smiled while looking at me.” A slight redness was visible in Lily’s eyes. “So what? I am me, and you are you! Stay within your boundaries! No one should try to show any relationship with me. That is my wish! Whatever I do, I have nothing to do with you!” Father said: “My child, you have to do with all of us.” Lily became even more angry. “Give me my food!” Everyone started eating their food without saying anything. That night, Lily had a dream. In the dream, she was treated badly. Not only by her parents. She was harassed repeatedly by outsiders too. She was beaten and abused. When she grew up, she got married. Then, she had to bear the indifference, beatings, and debauchery of her husband all her life. Her children treated her like an animal. Even her death was painful. When she was with me, no one was around her. That night, she saw another person in whom she was tormented day and night in the pursuit of her revenge, but her desire remained unfulfilled. When she woke up in the morning, they both were lying on the ground. Days passed, and Lily’s soul and mind balanced. First of all, Lily’s eyes found peace in themselves. She started remembering her memories one after the other. She kept thinking, what was the meaning of those dreams? A battle was going on between her soul and mind. They say that change is inevitable here. The family contacts a priest. Lily softened up due to the efforts and loving behavior of the priest. The priest said to her parents: “Despite being the parents, you both stayed away from this child. That is also a big reason that she has not been able to accept any human relationship. No one should expect that she will live like their child. This child will behave according to the destiny made based on her deeds. She will keep her relationship with you according to her own will, and one day, she will go away from the lives of all of you to live the life for which she was born on this earth. The priest went to his church. From that day onward, a lovely atmosphere started building up in the house. Everyone in the family now understood how to live with Lily. Lily slowly started liking the atmosphere of the house. She could not give up her original nature but she started feeling comfortable at home. It was not easy for her to connect with worldly relationships. She kept to herself but started trusting her family members. Lily started talking to others without any relation as if she was talking to a stranger. Everyone was happy. Time past. About three more years passed. Lily was now nineteen years old. Carol got married, and her brother had also started earning. Lily started getting opportunities to make her room even better. She started getting more money for her expenses. She was happy. But how can someone live their life with the help of happiness only? Emotions awoke in Lily’s mind. For the first time, she felt something missing in her life. She was a little scared in the beginning. She said to herself, “What is happening in my mind? Why am I feeling sad again and again? There is something. My soul is yearning for it.” In the days that passed, she started feeling lonely. She asked her mother: “You tell me why I am not feeling well. There has been a change in my body. As if I am no longer a girl!” “You are going to become a woman!” Her mother said happily. “you should not be afraid of this change. God has made you a woman. Feel it, you will start feeling good.” When her mother explained it to her, she said: “You are right!” Tears came to her mother’s eyes! Lily started looking at her mother without understanding. A few more days passed by. She began to feel irritable. She realized that there should be someone in her life, someone else, with whom she can live life according to her wish. She started thinking, who could that be? It cannot be any woman. Anyway, I do not trust any human being. So what should I do? One day, a spark came into her mind. She said to herself: “Why not make an animal my companion? Animals are better than humans. They are loyal. They never betray.” That same day, she reached the animal market of her city, Malta! She was happy to see the beautiful rabbits and monkeys, but her heart was dissatisfied. Finally, she welcomed the dogs and said: “This is my life partner.” But all the dogs, looking at her, raised their heads towards the sky and started crying loudly. Lily put her hands on her ears. She stood in front of the cats and saw a dancing cat. Then she felt there was some magnetic attraction in this dancing cat. The cat was dancing continuously. Lily thought, “Yes, this will be fine. It is also light in weight and a companion for every moment.” She bought that cat from the animal trader by paying a high price. Its kennel, food, water, and everything together made it quite heavy. The trader asked his men to keep all the stuff and the cat in his car. When she started to leave, the trader called out: “Ma’am! Wait a minute! We want to gift you love birds.” When Lily’s eyes turned red, the trader got scared. Lily walked away from the market with a swaying smile and the whole gang. She put the stuff in the trunk of her car. She made the cat sit on the front seat, got into the car, turned the key, and started the car. The two men stood in front of Lily with their eyes wide open in anticipation of their tip. Lily made them run away with her red eyes wide open. Both of them ran away to save their lives. Lily started driving her car towards her home while laughing inhumanly. She was happy today. After driving the car for a while, she parked the car in the garage in the courtyard of her house and took the cat in her hands. She pushed the door of her home a little, opened the commode, and went inside. The people of the house saw her coming and kept looking at the strange-looking white cat in her hand. She said: “I want to keep it with me.” The cat would close its eyes sometimes, and then open them the next moment. It kept doing the same thing over and over. Father said: “It is your house. Live happily!” Brother kept all the stuff from the car’s trunk in her room. In this way, Lily got a companion. The day passed, and when the night was going to Gujarat with its youth, a strange voice entered Lily’s ears. “Your command is mine! Your command is mine!” When this voice sounded repeatedly, Lily woke up from sleep. She realized the dancing cat spoke in a human voice. Lily thought that this was a sign of supernatural powers. But she was unable to understand which language this cat was speaking. She scolded the cat for speaking the same thing again and again. “Shut up and let me sleep!” The cat said: “Whatever you say, my Majesty! I am going to sleep!” Saying this, the cat slept hugging her. Lily understood one thing quickly. That her cat was magical. The cat would do whatever she said. The next day the cat looked normal. But at night, it started speaking again. “Your orders, my Majesty?” Today Lily had deliberately woken up. She felt that the cat would speak again. And that is what happened. At the same time at night, the cat’s height increased tremendously. It started looking equal to a dog and spoke in a strange voice in human language. “Your orders, my Majesty?” Lily said: “My magical cat who speaks human language, you will do whatever I say!” “Yes, my Lord, I will,” the cat replied. “You will do it even during the day.” “Yes, I will do it, my Majesty!” “Now go to sleep!” Lily ordered. “I am going to sleep, my Lord.” Both of them fell asleep hugging each other.
