Betrayal
Betrayal is always hard to swallow, but even more so if it comes from someone close, like family.
Sun trembled as he saw Moon looking at him with that victorious smile.
“Relax, Moony, you’ll see that soon you’ll make better friends. Many better friends.”
Wasn’t he the one who comforted him when, in his first week, the children used to avoid him?
“--You’re the favorite. You don’t have problems with the kids. They love you and me... -he made a grimace, wanting to cry.
Sun approached him and gave him a sympathetic smile.
--But you’re my favorite, Moony.”
Wasn’t he with him when no one else was?
Didn’t he behave like a good brother?
What did he do wrong?
“Moon. Why...?” -his voice trembled with the immense feeling of betrayal and pain that invaded him.- "Why are you doing this to me?"
Moon gave him a resentful look.
"I’m tired of being second, I’m tired of you being the favorite," -he paused, containing his anger.- ”I don’t care that I’m your favorite, I don’t care about your kindness. I hate you,” -he leaned towards him and smiled.- “It’s time for the Sun to go out and the Moon to reign in this daycare.”
That’s when the sound of the daycare doors opening was heard. Moon smiled even more.
“Daycare Attendant Sun” -one of the two maintenance personnel spoke.
“W-What’s happening?” -Sun felt very scared, something very bad was going to happen and he was the only one who wasn’t aware.
“Your services are no longer needed, you will be decommissioned and your casing will be reused to make a new Endo.”
Then the Sun was startled.
“W-WHAT? NO! I don’t want that!” -he pleaded, backing away until he bumped into the wall.- Please!
“You’re no longer needed here. Moon will take charge of the daycare.”
Moon?
The Sun turned to look at his brother. He was smiling.
“Moon! Help me!” -he pleaded.- “Don’t let them do this to me! We’re brothers! Tell them you need me!” -he reached out his hand towards him, seeking his help.- “Tell them that I...!”
PAFF
His hand was slapped away by the night robot.
"I don’t need you,” -he said firmly.- “I can handle everything,”-he smiled.- ”Nighty Night little brother~”
And that was all he said. His last words and wishes for him.
The shadow of the staff fell upon him.
Were they going to decommission him? Was he going to end up like Bonnie?
No. He didn’t want that, there was still much he could give.
no
No
NO!
He jumped over the staff and his counterpart, already on the floor, he escaped from the daycare.
"He won’t get far He he he he~” -he hummed.
Sun ran through the corridors.
He was terrified. He knew that if they caught him it would be his end.
He could hear the staff calling for reinforcements and chasing him. He had to escape.
He had to escape!
A hand grabbed him and pulled him into one of the many alleys that place had.
“NO, PLEASE--!” -a hand over his mouth silenced him.
He closed his eyes in fear and stood still, crying.
He felt a hand touching his shoulder insistently, asking him to open his eyes.
That’s when he saw him well and felt some hope.
“MapBot?” -the well-known map robot signaled him to be quiet and follow him.
Sun obeyed and he guided him through several lonely corridors to an emergency exit.
Sun looked at him surprised.
“You...?” -before he could say anything else, the sounds of the staff nearby were heard.
MapBot nodded his head for him to leave, pointing to the door and then quickly heading towards the sounds.
Sun watched him for a moment until he disappeared around a corner. Then he saw the door and took a step closer.
Was he really going to leave?
But what would happen to him? The Pizza Plex was his only home and the only place he knew.
If he left he would have nothing.
“AHHH!” -he heard someone scream.
“Hello. Free Map”
Sun was touched. MapBot was giving him time, risking himself to be dismantled if he was discovered.
All for him.
He had to leave, so that MapBot’s efforts would not be in vain.
-“Thank you, Best Friend” -he said before opening the door and leaving what was once his home.
Escaping the Mega Pizza Plex.
To be continued...
